Time for something a little different from the shop’s ageing Tabi Tape guerrilla mixtape series. Cold-caller Wrakhowitch delivers a riotous, booze-soaked spread of lysergic folk, spun-out psych and thunderous freakouts evoking murky scenes of a tobacco-steeped biker bar somewhere on the outskirts of Friedrichshain. Refreshing it is to encounter a selection of music we ordinarily don’t pursue, but arranged, sequenced and massaged in a way to carry the mind elsewhere. Surely the true essence of a good mixtape? Plenty of stuff in here that people will know, mostly from names that rarely appear in our faithful racks but truly marked 10/10 in terms of FUN. A delirious and wonderfully slurred assortment to put fire in bellies - scorcher!!
