Following the posthumous release of ‘Amahar’ in 2019, Via Parigi reissues this 1997 collaboration between Bryn Jones’s Muslimgauze and The Rootsman (the alias of Bradford producer John Bolloten). Featuring brooding, cavernous bass and gorgeous soundscapes, ‘City Of Djinn’ was the first of a handful of projects the pair worked on together before Jones’s untimely passing in 1999.
