Spectral Wound play black metal. Angry and visceral, free of esoteric attitude or grasping idealism. It is music for the poisoned, the futile, the debauched and the profane. The blossoming of a flower of corruption, torn apart by cold winds. After the raw early work Terra Nullius (Arcane Angels / Out of Season 2015), Spectral Wound continued their path of creeping, opulent decay and burning melody, weaving threads of Québécois metal noir with the weft of the Scandinavian canon. After refining their sound on "Infernal Decadence" (Vendetta, 2018) and the towering, jubilant melancholy of "A Diabolic Thirst" (Profound Lore, 2021), the band delivers an elegy to emptiness with "Songs Of Blood And Mire" (Profound Lore, 2024), seething with the poison and cries of an ever-emptier world.
