Somewhere between My Bloody Valentine's Isn't Anything and Nirvana'sBleach sits Sigh Down One, a "punkgaze" or "contemplative grunge" trio from Montreal. Initially started in Vancouver with the release of the I'm You Like You're Me EP as a solo recording project of Sasha Ford, the group is now composed of a collaboration between Ford (Cascadia), Kaity Zozula (Femmemaggots, Lungbutter), and Blair Lauren (Dreamboat, The Facials).
Sigh Down One cuts the wistful indulgences of shoegaze through with a relentless punk sensibility, coordinating distorted textures with lively pacing for a blissful result.
