Carnival of Souls began life as a live soundtrack to Herk Harvey's 1962 horror Carnival of Souls. The ideas were mutated into a full length album which continues the more electronic direction pursued in their previous Lady of Shanghai record. It once again shows Pere Ubu as a band who constantly take risks and re-invent their sound. Should be more like them.
