For some, Pavement is perhaps the biggest band in the world, or at least in North America, but certainly the best band on the American West Coast. Now, this cult band is releasing a "Best of" album for all those who still wonder who the hell Pavement actually are. "Heckler's Choice," as the "Best of" is called, provides the answer, leading the listener from the valley of the clueless into a Garden of Eden brimming with blossoming guitar feedback and sprouting indie riffs. "Heckler's Choice" is the band's second "Best of" compilation. After all, more than a decade has passed, and you can never have too many great Pavement songs in one place. When "Quarantine the Past" was released in 2010, TikTok didn't even exist. This newly revised tracklist takes into account all the viral oddities of recent years ("Harness Your Hopes"), while simultaneously representing the timeless tracks that have remained staples of playlists and mixtapes for fans of the band for generations.
