We have daily conversations lately concerning how lucky we are to be able to release some pretty damn awesome albums. Not tooting our horn, tooting the band's horn's. One of these albums is Beneath The Wheel by Bloomington,IN's Landlord. Jacob Hamilton, St.Augustine,FL mayor, turned me on to these guys a few years back and I was blown away by their ability to bring darkness and sunlight at the same instance. There's something beautifully creepy about the way their records sound. BTW ,while being no exception, is a huge leap forward. Imagine early Built to Spill and Dinosaur Jr but with more straight-to-the-point punk references. It's super refreshing! And shit, again, we're lucky.
