'Recordings from the Åland Islands' is the first recorded collaboration between Jeremiah Chiu and Marta Sofia Honer. The album sees Jeremiah Chiu’s modular synth and Sofia Honer’s viola combined with field recordings from the Baltic archipelago of Åland. The music is post-composed and improvised. The pair create a beautifully glistening and peaceful soundscape. For fans of Brian Eno, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Terry Riley and Jon Hassell, among others.
