Behind their playful name, the Berlin trio Jejeje delivers a conceptually eloquent debut with "Ambivalencia Artificial." The album constrains post-punk into sharp, math-rock time signatures, weaving elusive melodies that reject ornamentation. This sonic approach is a direct response to contemporary issues: social homogenization, AI, and the loss of ambiguity. Jejeje’s music is a plea for friction and ambivalence, championing them as essential forces for imagination and diversity.
