It's too easy to describe a somewhat-melodic hardcore band as "passionate", "emotive", and "hard hitting", but Great Reversals is the epitome of all, in the truest definitions of the word. With massive 90s hardcore influences, Trial and Bane, coursing through this 10", Great Reversals differentiate themselves from the hordes of hardcore bands with the empathetic, intensely raw, and vulnerable lyrics "To The Ends of the Earth" has to offer.
Lyrically centered on their drummer's struggle to raise his deaf, autistic son, this LP offers tracks that are the personification of angst, grief, hope, and perseverance amidst dismal circumstances. It's pummeling, unrelentless, and cathartic. One of the best hardcore records we've heard in a long, long while.
