The Fresh & Onlys are four supremely talented (if a bit shaggy-looking) San Franciscans. The band is so comfortable with mixing and matching seemingly disparate genre elements that each song is its own mini-musical movement. Really! (Not really). "Yes or No"and "Take Back The Night" serve as a teaser for Long Slow Dance, a big, beautiful record due this Fall. L.S.D. is a mature, anthemic and, in subtle ways, pretty weird album. And there you have it -- Tim Cohen, Shayde Sartin, Wymond Miles, and Kyle Gibson -- here to mess with your head and have you say "Thank you."
