If you’re anything like me, all you need to know about this release is that Free Machines features the long-awaited return of ex-Swing Ding Amigos co-frontman Jimmy to recording and banding. But if running a label has taught me anything, most people are not like me. So I’ll write a bit more. Free Machines hail from Tucson, were majority of the best southwestern punk bands of the last 15 years have come from (This is not up for debate. Swing Ding Amigos, Shark Pants, Weird Lovemakers, The Blacks, Lenguas Largas, Knockout Pills, and so on. No one can fuck with that). Imagine Swing Ding Amigos slowed down a bit and with a whole lot more Greg Cartwright swagger. Punks aging gracefully.
