The media hype leading up to the release in 2001 was undoubtedly orchestrated to perfection; Daft Punk simply tear the house down with relentless energy. It is a monster of an album—a dancefloor smash of the kind only the French can deliver. Disco music simply doesn't get any more perfect. They kick things off with punk and rock 'n' roll guitars, move on to ballads à la Stardust, and drive even the most reluctant club-goer wild with their driving intensity and endless loops of vocal house beats (featuring the likes of Romanthony).
