Esquire magazine commissioned ex-pat Detroiters and erstwhile Nashvillians BRENDAN BENSON (RACONTEURS) and BEN BLACKWELL (DIRTBOMBS) to compose songs about Detroit city using the lyric "Last night in Detroit". Benson uses that as his song title in his no-holds-barred account of memories of the Motor City, both good and bad. Blackwell screams his song around the East Side cemetery that's the resting place for former mayors, Revolutionary war soldiers and Fred "Sonic" Smith. Strictly limited to 1,000 copies each with individually hand-stamped paper sleeves.
