The Victory Garden of Tomorrow is a project of J. Wirtheim and his tiny, eco-friendly studio in Portland, Oregon.
War-era posters that advertised war bonds served as inspiration for this piece of a talking hen.
They might illustrate a line of B-25 bombers with the line, “keep ‘em flying.” The American vernacular, the call to arms, the urgency—exactly what Joe wanted for his modern campaign.
Today, our heroes are the common, the simple and can be right in our own backyard. For me, the backyard hen represents a hands-on, empowered approach to food and education.
