Volcanic Tongue was a record store run in Glasgow by David Keenan and Heather Leigh from 2005 to 2015, releasing contemporary DIY music from around the world in small, homemade CD-R runs. At the same time, the store sought to shine a light on forgotten artists from the past, who had often released their music as private pressings. The store was known for its weekly mailing list, where Keenan rapped enthusiastically about newcomers, particularly the record of the week, nicknamed the "tip of the tongue." This eclectic sampler of 20 "tips of the tongue"—from outsider synth to psych-folk to broken rock 'n' roll, recorded between 1968 and 2013—is a tribute to a vibrant and diverse underground avant-garde. Black vinyl 2LP in a PVC sleeve, designed by Julian House, with printed inner sleeves and liner notes by David Keenan for each artist.

PS: At the same time, White Rabbit will be releasing a deluxe edition of the book of the same name, including a CD version of the sampler, limited to 1,000 copies, signed by author David Keenan and designer Julian House.
