Appalachian Banjo folk with the eerieness of Black Metal.
"i was feeding the cats and watering plants
for two weeks in the summer of 2024
in louis' house near metz east of france
i used the piano, harmonium, mandola, 5-string guitar, chatons saw, leaves and branches from the woods and the things i brought there myself: banjo, guitars, bells, bow and a simple recording set up, two mics and one field recorder
all these tracks started as improvisations and did grow by rain
i spent my days recording, walking, listening, recording, walking
i tryed to focus on mainly accoustic instrumentation in this room in louis'house with a wide window and a wooden floor
to find out a little more about my passion for the banjo, most pieces turn aroud its sound. i was looking for an access to the instrument to get closer to my musical needs, struggles and consolation and maybe, by sharing it with you, some of my longing, rage and desolation can resonate with yours"
