Finally re-released: the only album by the legendary Hamburg punk band around JENS RACHUT (BUBACK, 1992) is available again as an LP in a 350 gram cover with a bonus single in a 4c cardboard cover, download code and text insert on MAJOR LABEL.
After ANGESCHISSEN and DAS MOOR, BLUMEN AM ARSCH DER HÖLLE (1991-1994) continued the JENS RACHUT band history. With founding guitarist ANDREAS NESS, who was at least temporarily part of almost all subsequent bands, a powerful team was formed that further expanded the weird and dark RACHUT punk rock cosmos. At the beginning of the 90s, the approach of combining atmospheric and harmonically ambiguous guitar parts as well as interesting rhythms and breaks with German lyrics that skilfully moved between dark poetry and aggressive announcements was anything but ordinary. Legions of subsequent bands such as TURBOSTATT, MUFF POTTER and CAPTAIN PLANET have followed the path that the first RACHUT bands have taken almost exclusively since the end of the 80s. The album, produced by CHRISTIAN MEVS (SLIME, ANGESCHISSEN), was originally released with 14 songs. In 2000, a remastered version with a different tracklist order and the additional songs '1976' and 'Wills Nicht Mehr' (a reference to the now deceased original drummer MARC WILLS) was re-released on SCHIFFEN, which also forms the basis for this reissue. The surprising cover version of BLONDIE's 'Picture This', in which SNUFF singer DUNCAN and SHAUN from WAT TYLER sing along, is out of the ordinary. In addition to the lyrics sheet based on the Buback original, the LP also contains a 7' single in its own cover, which contains two songs that only appeared on samplers and three rehearsal room demo recordings. The striking cover artwork of this now highly sought-after rarity was once again created by the renowned painter and current BUBACK owner DANIEL RICHTER.
