A strange taste in your mouth, stress-related stomach cramps, and an urgent need to kick some serious ass. Damn, and then you sprain your ankle! Better put on the new COLD SUMMER 7" record instead.
The guitar propels you straight down into the depths of despair, the furious vocals hurl despair and madness into your face, and you just know this is the real deal. The no-frills drumming and bone-dry bass drive the four songs to the very edge with aggressive precision.
This isn't just your typical, run-of-the-mill hardcore punk; influences from post-punk, hardcore, and metal transform it into a beast of a different, more sophisticated kind. Cold Summer themselves describe what they unleash on "Altlasten" (Old Burdens) as "bad weather punk." Following their excellent demo tape on Kink Records/Jean-Claude Madame, this is the next release from the Leipzig-based band on Kink Records/It's Eleven Records.
Recorded with powerful energy in their own rehearsal space by Anton Hoyer, and mastered at North London Bomb Factory.
