ALAN SPARHAWK - White Roses, My God LP (subpop - Clear Vinyl - Alan Sparhawk has always been a prolific, versatile musician. . A restless soul eager to explore unfamiliar sonic and psychic terrain. While he is obviously (and rightly) best known for his thirty years in the legendary band Low, a look at Sparhawk's many side projects during that time span shows that he experimented with everything from punk and funk to production work and improvisation. Low themselves have never settled on a particular sound or approach. From their quiet early work, through the massive melodies of their middle period, to the late, lush chaos of their final albums, it's been a journey, creative acts of perpetual becoming. The band has always been a collaboration - a conversation, a romance - between Sparhawk and his wife Mimi Parker, who was co-founder, drummer, co-lead vocalist and the irreplaceable heart of the band. Parker passed away in 2022 after a long battle with cancer. WHITE ROSES, MY GOD is an album borne of grief. You can hear it in the title, but also in tracks like "Heaven," in which Sparhawk poignantly describes the afterlife as "a lonely place when you're alone." You can also feel it in Sparhawk's decision to create this work entirely himself: every note, every lyric, every programmed beat. But it would be simplistic, even foolish, to see grief as the only source or final frontier of this taut, brilliant, provocative and exciting album, whose bold experiments are fed by profound lyrics and driving beats. "Can you feel something here?" asks Sparhawk in "Feel Something." The line repeats over and over, evolving first into "I want to feel something here" and then into "Can you help me feel something here?" - the musical means he has chosen to convey this message - especially the pitch shifter - seem to make it difficult to access what he wants us (and himself) to feel.) 30.00

ANA ROXANNE - Because Of A Flower LP (kranky - a few back in stock - The sublime songs comprising Los Angeles-based musician Ana Roxanne's second release, Because Of A Flower, germinated gradually across five years, inspired by interwoven notions of gender identity, beauty, and cruelty. She describes her process as beginning with "a drone element and a mood," then intuiting melody, syllables, and lyrics incrementally, like sacred shapes materializing from mist. The experience of identifying as intersex informs the album on levels both sonic and thematic, from spoken word texts borrowed from tonal harmony textbooks to cinematic dialogue samples and castrati aria allusions. It's an appropriately interstitial vision of ambient songcraft, a chemistry of wisps and whispers, sanctuary and sorrow, conjured through a fragile balance of voice, bass, space, and texture. Despite a background studying at the prestigious Mills College in Oakland, Roxanne's music rarely feels conceptual, instead radiating an immediate and emotive aura, rooted in the present tense of her personal journey. She speaks of the flower in the title as a body, singular and sunlit, as many petals as thorns, an enigma beholden only to itself. But whether taken as surface or subtext, Because is a transfixing document of a rare artist in the spring of their ascension.) 30.00

AUTOMATIC - Collected Works 1997 - 2024 LP (indecision - Matt Weider, former guitarist for the now defunct New Jersey band Mouthpiece, had relocated to Louisville, KY, where he spent time playing in Guilt and the Enkindels before settling into his role as frontman for Automatic. The band lasted a few years and although they recorded several EPs, a full-length release did not materialize before their eventual break up. This record collects all of their original material as well as a couple tracks that never made it onto any other releases. Limited edition of 250 copies.= 30.00

BELONG - Realistic IX LP (kranky - Realistic IX, the third full-length by the duo of Michael Jones and Turk Dietrich aka Belong, is both an expansion and excavation of their signature acid-washed songcraft. Bleached guitars, metronomic drums, and buried voices rev, swirl, and seethe across shifting gradients of haze and hypnosis, alternately driving and diffuse. Melodies surge closer to the surface, flexing their form before resubmerging into quickening currents of feedback. Elsewhere the elements dissipate into a dusk of murk and microtonalities, electricity liberated back into infinite night. Although it’s been 13 years since Belong’s prior Kranky offering, Common Era, none of the duo’s rare synergy has decayed in the interim. Jones and Dietrich’s commitment to oblique states of motorik drone and liminal emotion continues to evolve and unfold, increasingly tactile and unreal, an alluring glow glimpsed through fogged windows at witching hours) 30.00

BELONG - Common Era LP (kranky - It's been five years since the last Belong long player, as the duo works slowly to organize their sound works. Both the time invested, and the wait, have been well rewarded with this return. Common Era shows extraordinary progression from that first album of dense, scorched earth instrumentals, hints of a new direction having been revealed on the Colorloss Record EP from 2008 which contained covers of four should-have-been classics from the original psychedelic era. The new material has such common pop elements as "songs," vocals and drum machines, but the results could hardly be called conventional and are like little else happening on the current "scene."The songs themselves are akin to radio transmissions received from another time and place, just as likely to be the future as the past, or even from a contemporary alternate universe. They are both passionate and dispassionate, grey yet technicolor, ghostly and palpable, distant yet immediate, grainy and focused. Upon listening these conceptual contradictions are dismissed with ease, as the recordings reveal that they fit all of these descriptors simultaneously, an extraordinary balancing act.) 30.00

BROADCAST - Distant Call - Collected Demos 2000-2006 LP (warp - Distant Call, unlike Spell Blanket, is a collection of early demos of songs that would later appear as finished productions on the albums Haha Sound, Tender Buttons and The Future Crayon. The album also includes two songs that James discovered after Trish's death: Come Back To Me and Please Call To Book. These were their response to Broadcast's 2006 Let's Write A Song project, which asked fans to send in song lyrics on a postcard that would then be worked into a finished song. Distant Call closes the door on Broadcast and will be the band's last release.) 32.00

DAME AREA - Toda La Verdad Sobre Dame Area LP (mannequin - Formed in 2017 within the vibrant underground scene of Barcelona's Màgia Roja club, Dame Area comprises the Italian-Catalan duo Silvia Konstance and Viktor Lux Crux. They fuse industrial-tribal polyrhythms with minimalist synth basslines, drawing profound inspiration from avant-garde masters such as Esplendor Geometrico, Throbbing Gristle, Suicide, Einstürzende Neubauten, Can, Coil, Swans, Big Black, and Wolf Eyes. This record represents a new phase in Dame Area's discography. It's a big step up in terms of sound, composition and ideas. This record it's the perfect representation of what they have been playing live the last three years and what most people know them for. Also it serves as a companion piece to 2022’s Toda la mentira sobre Dame Area ("All The Lies About Dame Area"), which had a stronger focus on melody, while this latest record is more aggressive and industrial-influenced, with a greater emphasis on percussion.) 25.00

ELEVEN POND - Bas Relief LP (dark entries back in stock - Dark Entries celebrates its 15th anniversary by returning to where it all started, our initial darkest entry: Eleven Pond’s masterpiece Bas Relief, an ultra-obscure album from 1986 that would become a definitive dark pop holy grail. Eleven Pond was James Tabbi (vocals, acoustic guitar), Jeff Gallea (drum machine, synthesizer, vocals), Jack Schaeffer (guitar) and Dan Brumley (synthesizer, samples, vocoder, melodica). They met in Rochester, NY, while attending art school, brought together by their shared love of 4AD and Factory Records. Taking cues from acts like Joy Division, Fad Gadget, and For Against, Eleven Pond’s infectious basslines, churning guitar riffs, and atmospheric synths will charm all fans of moody music. But what really makes Bas Relief shine is the timeless songwriting on classics like “Tear and Cinnamon”, “Portugal”, and the anthemic “Watching Trees.”) 30.00

GEL - Persona LP (Gel can't be stopped. Since emerging from the New Jersey hardcore scene, the band has quickly earned a dedicated following with their instant-classic, debut full-length, "Only Constant" (2023), and a penchant for non-stop touring. But Gel is just getting started, as evidenced by "Persona": a pummeling, new five-song EP that evolves their ultra-visceral sound, harnessing all of their momentum into a unrestrained musical force headed straight for your ears.) 30.00

HARVEST - Transitions LP (trustkill - Minneapolis, MN, hardcore legends Harvest release their classic album "Transitions" on vinyl for the first-time ever. All 14 tracks have been remastered by Scott Crouse (Earth Crisis) and sound huge. This is the orange with red splatter vinyl version, exclusive to Rev and limited to 300 copies.) 32.00

JUAN ALMEIDA - Fantasia LP (mr bongo - The next album in Mr Bongo's Cuban Classics series is a hard one to pigeonhole. It’s a real oddity, unique and not in keeping with the majority of Cuban albums we know, but it's all the better for this. Coming courtesy of Juan Almeida, the Fantasia LP is an eclectic and epic, instrumental ride through Latin jazz-funk, trippy electronics and orchestrated classical music. Sounding at points like a full-blown orchestrated score to a dusty animated film extravaganza, with phrases and passages repeating like the appearance of ghostly spectres throughout the recording. At others, it busts into exotic funk, psychedelic-trippiness and Afro-Cuban percussion. ) 30.00

KILL HOLIDAY - Seasonal LP (indecision - Formed with an acute awareness that they wanted to step away from the traditional sounds they had made in previous bands, Kill Holiday was forged with the idea that they wanted to break new personal ground. "Seasonal" is a retrospective on those early, experimental years for the band. Compiled by founding member O. Paz, this collection of recordings features the complete output from the pre-Revelation era of the band while he was still a member. Limited edition of 250 copies.) 30.00

KLARA LEWIS - Thankful LP (editions mego - Edition of 500 copies, Pantone printed sleeve - Klara Lewis’ latest offering is undoubtedly a heartfelt tribute to her friend, mentor and former label boss, Peter Rehberg. The opening track Thankful resides as a direct tribute to the track recorded under his PITA moniker, the timeless ‘Track 3’. A track of which the impact has been vast and deep, still rattling the walls of the now enormous worldwide experimental electronic scene. Countless new youth carve and project wildly distorted melodic digital matter which all falls back with a knowing or unknowing wink back to this original ground zero monster. Klara’s take on this is one that resides as a tribute to Rehberg with a cascading emotional melody gradually succumbing to a euphoric digital abyss. Thankful also comes across as a farewell gesture to her deceased friend with its beautiful, almost funerale tone. The abrupt ending is not only a method Rehberg would have relished but also a signifier of a life suddenly cut short. Lewis was 21 when her first album Ett was released by Editions Mego in 2014. Now at 31 years of age Editions Mego is very proud to present Thankful, a profoundly mature and emotional peak in Lewis’ career thus far.) 27.00

L'APPEL DU VIDE - Metro LP (sabotage - PLEASE NOTE. RECORD COMES IN MULTICOLORED VINYL !!! You ride over the Zwickau hills to the northeast. The leather reins cut into your frozen hands as hot and sour sod burns its way upwards. Metaphysical hangover sweat stabs through your skin pore by pore, through a faded coffin tattoo on your forearm. The tired feet in your father’s NVA boots clutch the flanks of a steaming, gray Appaloosa, or is it just the souped-up Simson S51? It doesn’t matter, because it’s actually your very own mind-machine, in which you wander through the ruins of self-awareness, following the call of emptiness. To Chemnitz – the San Francisco of the little man. What awaits you there, however, is not Bernd Spier’s simple-minded Flowertime, but asbestos, Eternit and, above all, the cracks that run through it. This is exactly where the songs on L’Appel du Vide’s first full-length “Metro” condense into a 9-story high monolith of post-punk, death rock, synth and darkwave, which – once climbed – allows you to look beyond those genre boundaries. A shimmering black Jenga tower of (East) German angst and uncompromising introspection. Staggering so much more sincerely than Campino would have you believe in his rehearsed sideways tumbling dance of the center of society, he leads you away from the low-hanging fruit of the epigonal (post-)punk wind. Towards the blossoming flowers of true music love.) 17.00

LONG KNIFE - Curb Stomp Earth LP ( (sabotage - EU PRESSING The third chapter in the decade long existence of one of the most depraved Portland hardcore bands ever. If you know, you know, as LONG KNIFE has channeled and perfected the POISON IDEA sound, though if you pay attention to their catalog, you can see how they have evolved into their own beast over the years, making the PI comparisons trite. Every song on this record offers something different, whether it’s keyboards, horns (yep), what sounds to be operatic gang vocals, or just straight up hardcore bangers. This LP still maintains the intensity, insanity, and aggression these maniacs are known for, though there seems to be a bit more melody thrown in under the chaos this time. The riffs, solos, bass licks and Colin’s vocals/lyrics are just as awesome as ever. And of course, the lyrics are just as cynical, disturbing, and well written as we’ve come to expect. There is no slowing down for these guys and the Earth is ready to be curb stomped again and again with LONG KNIFE’s fucked up pummelling songs for these fucked up times. Each record comes in a deluxe package – stunning cover art by Alina Radetsky) 17.00

LOREN CONNORS & DAVID GRUBBS - Evening Air LP (room40 - Evening Air is the result Loren Connors and David Grubbs’s first trip to the recording studio in the two decades since their first duo album, Arborvitae (Häpna). Arborvitae stood out for its spellbinding, utterly unhurried meshing of electric guitar (Connors) and piano (Grubbs). With this long-awaited return, Connors and Grubbs take turns trading off on piano and guitar, with Grubbs at the keyboard for the two gently expansive pieces on the first side and Connors taking over the instrument for three gorgeous miniatures on the flip, including an album-closing and perfectly heart-stopping version of Connors’s and Suzanne Langille’s “Child.” The album’s wildcard is “It’s Snowing Onstage,” which finds the two locking horns with two electric guitars before Loren blew the minds of all present in the studio by unexpectedly switching to drums. Loren Connors is one-of-a-kind, one of a handful of deservedly storied musical greats gracing us with their presence, and with Evening Air David Grubbs again demonstrates that he’s a stellar musician who also ranks among the most simpatico of collaborators. A cover painting by Connors — another wordless signalling — sets the tone for this most beguiling of seances.) 32.00

MINUTEMEN - Buzz Or Howl Under The Influence Of Heat LP (set - "Buzz Or Howl Under The Influence Of Heat" is the sixth overall release (fourth extended play, or EP, release and their first 12") from the Minutemen. It was originally released by SST Records in 1983. It is noted for featuring tracks with greater depth and more conventional song structure than on the band's previous releases.) 27.00

MINUTEMEN - What Makes A Man Start Fires? LP (sst - Originally released in 1983, "What Makes A Man Start Fires?" is the second studio album and fifth release by the Minutemen. At almost twice the length of their previous album, "The Punch Line," the Minutemen's songs began surpassing the two-minute mark. For what would be the only time on a Minutemen release, all of the lead vocals were sung exclusively by guitarist/vocalist D. Boon, although bassist Mike Watt does contribute backing vocals.) 30.00

MINUTEMEN - The Punch Line LP (SST - Originally released in 1981, "The Punch Line" is the debut studio album and third overall release by the Minutemen, and the fourth-ever release from SST Records. Less than half the length of most full-lengths, the total playing time for all 18 songs is a mere 15 minutes. The album was an early milestone release for the band and SST.) 28.00

NICO - BBC Session 1971 LP (domino - Comes with an Obi Stripe - Previously only available as a vinyl release on John Peel and Clive Selwood’s Strange Fruit label during a brief period in 1988, this four track vinyl EP was the first of two sessions Nico performed for John Peel (the second was in 1974.) The music was recorded live for BBC Radio One’s Top Gear on 2nd February 1971 and broadcast the following week. This haunting session is Nico at the height of her creative powers as testified by those who saw her solo concerts in this period.) 24.00

NO MEANS NO - In The Fishtank 1 LP (in the fishtank - On vinyl for the first time! The very first of the 'In The Fishtank' series from 1996 from punk legends NoMeansNo, finally released from newly minted vinyl masters. Comes with updated/new artwork, too boot!) 20.00

NOMEANSNO - Wrong LP (alternative tentacles - At last, one of the all-time bat legends, Nomeansno, has returned to Alternative Tentacles Records. The entire catalog no less, starting with their most beloved album "Wrong," using the original, all-analog master from the original mother, as engineered by George Horn, John Wright, and Jello Biafra. Originally released on Alternative Tentacles in 1989, "Wrong" stands on its own and is still considered to be a much-loved classic, not unlike Pinocchio.) 32.00

PAN AMERICAN - The Patience Fader LP (kranky - Labradford's Mark Nelson sounds effortless on his latest slow-burn album of lonesome drift music or "romantic minimalism" as he calls it, highlighting again why he's more or less in a category all of his own in the modern canon. Influenced by Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois' smudged half-speed Americana, Nelson is at the peak of his powers on a delicately windswept set of desert ambience and candlelight blues. 'The Patience Factor' was written thru isolation in 2020, and might be the most restrained suite of solo compositions he's assembled in years. There's no hesitation or overwork in his notes - like Neil Young's 'Dead Man' soundtrack, it sounds as if Nelson is playing along to visuals, improvising fluidly as desolate, widescreen landscapes pan across his field of vision. Unlike many of his previous albums there are also no drums, and Nelson's voice is absent; he doesn't need embellishments - he's carving moods from desert cliff faces.) 30.00

PAGE 99 - Singles LP (persistent vision - PURPLE VINYL - After being out of print for over a decade, Pageninetynine and Persistent Vision Records have partnered to reissue the band's "Singles" full-length to make this collection available for a new generation of fans. The "Singles" collection documents a band that was constantly experimenting and organically growing within the realm of heavy music. The collection brings together all of the band's non-album material including their original demo tape, an early 6" EP, a compilation track, and split 7"s with Enemy Soil, City Of Caterpillar, Circle Takes The Square, Reactor No. 7, and Process Is Dead, spanning the band's original run from 1997 to 2003.) 30.00

POISON RUIN - Confrere LP (relapse - Poison Ruin reaches through the dark once again with the new EP "Confrere." "Confrere" sees Poison Ruin elevate their sound with more atmosphere and palpable urgency. Following the title track, "Confrere" continues to hurtle through songs of struggle, death, despair, injustice, and revenge.) 27.00

PRISONNIER DU TEMPS - Comme Un Lion En Cage LP (LSM - Originally released in 2022 by Une Vie Pour Rien in France, Longshot Music is very proud to re-issue this fantastic solo project from Jacky Cadio from Syndrome 81. Unlike most solo recordings, this is a full-band style recording, with guitars (lots of them), bass, drums, vocals, and backing vocals; there is plenty going on here. Add some hardcore nuances with an almost Tragedy vibe vocally, some meat-and-potatoes oi of the French variety, and even a cover of The Cult for good measure, and you have quite an impressive release. Limited edition of 250 copies. Imported from Canada.) 30.00

RAEIN - Il N'y A Pas De Orchestre LP (persistence - First released in 2003 and long out of print, "Il N'y A Pas De Orchestre" is the iconic sophomore release from Italy's Raein. The ten-track full-length captures the raw emotions and explosive energy of the young post-hardcore band early on. Remastered in 2024 by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios, this 20th anniversary reissue comes packaged in a deluxe, silver mirror-board jacket with printed inner-sleeve.) 30.00

RAEIN - A Collection Of Splits And EPs 2004 - 2015 LP ("A Collection Of Splits And EPs 2004 - 2015" captures the growth of Italy's Raein, including tracks from their out-of-print split 7"s with Loma Prieta, Funeral Diner, Ampere, Daitro, and Phoenix Bodies, along with an early 7" EP "Doden Marscherar At Vast." This collection of songs was remastered in 2024 by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios and comes packaged in a custom, embossed jacket and printed inner-sleeve. Reformed in 2023, Raein is considered to be one of the leaders in emotional post-hardcore, carrying a similar spirit and sound as bands like Orchid, Saetia, Pagenintynine, and others.) 30.00

RAZEN - Rain Without Rain LP (TAL - Rain and experimental music have had an interesting connection for decades. Under the umbrella of American film music promotion, Hanns Eisler was already looking for "Vierzehn Arten, den Regen zu beschreiben” (fourteen ways to describe the rain) in 1941. A good 20 years later, The Cascades interpreted the periodicity of rain as a rhythm of mourning. For the Beatles ("If the rain falls, they run and hide their heads"), the precipitation inspired the band to use backward running tapes. However, it seems that there has always been a lot of rainfall in popular music. In the early seventies, David Toop and Paul Burwell even had a band project with the great name Rain In The Face…) 30.00

SEVERED HEADS – Ear Bitten DLP (dark entries - Dark Entries picks up Severed Heads yet again for Ear Bitten, a double LP reissue of some of the band’s earliest material. As originary Aussie industrial legends - although founder Tom Ellard would balk at being branded as such - Severed Heads shaped the continental subcultural sound with their kitchen electronics, chaotic tape loops, and quietly infectious nursery-rhyme-esque melodies. In 1979 Ellard, Richard Fielding, and Andrew Wright abandoned the moniker Mr. and Mrs. No Smoking Sign and adopted the edgier name Severed Heads “to pretend to be an industrial band such as Surgical Penis Klinik & Throbbing Gristle.” Noise-rockers Rhythmx Chymx had placed an advertisement in a local shop looking for a band to share the costs of pressing an LP. The Heads set about recording a Dadaist racket on a pair of open reel dictaphones and a cassette deck using a TRS-80 computer, Kawai Synthesizer 100F and Korg Mini Pops drum machine. Ear Bitten was released in 1980; original copies now fetch obscene sums, in part due to most of Severed Heads’ copies perishing in a fire at Richard’s home. The band’s next endeavor was a cassette titled Side 2, a collection of free-form experiments fashioned as Ear Bitten’s second side. For this reissue, Dark Entries has collected both Ear Bitten and Side 2 on the first disc, presenting the album in its full form. Disc two includes the original first version of Ear Bitten, which was only unreleased because it was recorded in a format not suitable for pressing. The album comes in a gatefold sleeve designed by Eloise Leigh and includes photos, liner notes, and reproductions of the original Xerox inserts from the 1980 issue. Ear Bitten delivers 22 tracks of pain you can dance to!) 35.00

SHELLAC - To All Trains LP (touch and go - Shellac's sixth studio album "To All Trains" consists of 10 songs and has a total playing time of 28 minutes. The band is still: Steve Albini (guitar), Todd Trainier (drums) and Bob Weston (bass). "To All Trains" was recorded and mixed at Electrical Audio in Chicago over a few long weekends in November 2017, October 2019, September 2021 and March 2022. The album was mastered by Bob & Steve at Chicago Mastering Service. The artwork and packaging of the LP and CD are identical (the CD is smaller). Bob took all the photos, some with a fancy camera and some with a phone. As always, sound quality is Shellac's top priority. The LPs are manufactured by Green Vinyl Records using an injection molding process. This new process uses 100% recyclable PET (like soda bottles) and is environmentally friendly as it contains no PVC or phthalates. The process also uses 79% less CO2 than traditional hydraulic PVC vinyl presses. The records weigh 180 grams. As with Shellac, there will be no advertising for this album, no press or radio promotion, no e-promotion, no promotional or review copies, no promotional gimmicks, and no free lunches. The band will continue to play shows or go on tour sporadically and casually, as they always have. There is no correlation between shows and record releases with Shellac. Shellac do not have a website. Maybe they should get one.) 35.00

STEVE HIETT - Down On The Road By The Beach LP (efficient space - For the first time since its inception 36 years ago, Steve Hiett’s elusive 'Down On The Road By The Beach' is finally made available outside of Japan. Most recognized in the fashion sphere as an English photographer and graphic designer, Hiett's transportive audio portraits amplify his serpentine guitar to the infinite blue, recorded across Paris, Tokyo and New York with no coastline in sight. Now widely celebrated as a desert island disc, very little is actually known of its unfathomable genesis. A career devotee of Brian Wilson’s ground breaking harmonies, Hiett shot The Beach Boys for Rolling Stone - as well as The Doors, Miles Davis and Jimi Hendrix (in one of his final performances at the 1970 Isle Of Wight Festival) - while establishing himself as a fashion photographer. Decamping to Paris in 1972, he began what would become 20-year collaborations with Vogue Paris and Marie Claire, printing his signature warm, saturated and vibrantly hued snapshots.) 33.00

STEVE HIETT - Girls In Grass LP (effizient space - Previously unreleased material from Steve’s private recordings, remastered from the original masters, 140g vinyl, 4 page photography insert with liner notes. Three emotional years in the making, Be With and Efficient Space finally present Steve Hiett’s Girls In The Grass. Pressed alongside the long awaited reissue of his one-shot masterpiece Down On The Road By The Beach, these ten balearic soul instrumentals are of equal necessity; unrivalled beauty rescued from the fashion photographer-guitarist’s Paris Tapes (1986-1997).While recordings unintended for release should often be approached with caution, this is a rare case of unheard material being assembled as an indispensable and coherent piece. Girls In The Grass is something super special. The light and shadow that defines Hiett’s music is arguably more compelling here. It speaks to us in a language that feels profound, yet entirely comforting and familiar.) 30.00

SUSPECTRE - 2 LP (sabotage - Suspectre from Frankfurt present their second album on Sabotage Records, three years after their debut. “2,” the title of the new record, is an exciting and appealing mix of jangly punk and raw pop. With driving drums and garage influences, post-punk explores its danceable side. The eight songs are full of inspiration and ideas while remaining refreshingly light-footed. The two-part melodic vocals give the whole thing a very unique character. The music is accompanied by lyrics that trace the tensions of contemporary life. Suspectre search for meaning in a world of alienation, injustice, and triviality. They explore inner conflicts and the impact of today’s technologies on relationships. In doing so, they encounter moments of speechlessness and frustration, but also moments of hope. The physical record comes with stylish artwork, high-quality packaging, and completely random vinyl colors, so each record also holds a little visual surprise.) 17.00

TRISTWCH Y FENYWOD - Tristwch Y Fenywod LP (night people - Singing black-lit liturgies of bog bodies caked in mud, entranced by nocturnal landscapes flickering in the moon-glow and powered by queer enchantment, Tristwch y Fenywod are a Welsh-language gothic avant-rock power-coven. Exhumed from the depths of Leeds’ experimental underground, the trio consist of Gwretsien Ferch Lisbeth (Guttersnipe, The Ephemeron Loop), Leila Lygad (Hawthonn) and Sidni Sarffwraig (Slaylor Moon, The Courtneys). Stark, striking and bewitching, Tristwch y Fenywod’s self-titled album is their debut studio recording, following just 10 gigs and a live demo. Formed in 2022, Tristwch y Fenywod ("The Sadness of Women”) record exclusively in the Welsh language, conjuring an eldritch, subterranean, alien folk music played on dual zither, electronic drums and bass guitar. With towering, siren-like vocals curling around the Welsh consonants, accompanied by stark, martial rhythms and swirling claw-plucked strings, Tristwch y Fenywod feels like an early 4AD recording dredged from the waters of an Anglesey swamp. The effect is simultaneously chilling and stirring. ) 27.00

WILLIAM TYLER - Future Myths LP (William Tyler is a Nashville guitarist and composer. He spent years woodshedding and touring with Nashville groups like Lambchop and Silver Jews before breaking away to focus on his own version of instrumental guitar music. In the summer of 2022 he was fortunate to have an artist residency at Epicenter in Green River, Utah, a tiny high desert town three hours from anything, One of the other non-profit friends of Epicenter was The Tank is Rangely, Colorado. The Tank itself is a giant and tall disused water tower from the high days of train travel and used to store water to cool train engines and such. Empty for decades, it is now an internationally recognized destination for sound art and almost unparalleled echo/acoustics. William Tyler decided to book recording time there and chose to re-interpret all of the songs of hie 2019 album "Goes West" in a sparse yet cavernous solo acoustic setting: "Something about the frailty and space I wanted the songs to imply was lost in the over-production of the studio record, This felt like a reclamation of the songs and also a symbolic tribute to the stunning, haunted and vast possibilities of the American West, especially at the twilight of American Empire.’) 27.00

ZBIGNIEW PREISNER - Effroyables Jardins LP (a colourfil storm - A Colourful Storm presents Effroyables Jardins, a soundtrack composed by Zbigniew Preisner for Jean Becker’s eponymous film in December 2002. Given limited distribution at the time, the soundtrack’s lustre has only strengthened over the past two decades, and it can now be considered a forgotten gem of contemporary chamber composition. For us, it’s simply another understated triumph in Preisner's impeccable oeuvre. Born in post-war Poland in the southern city of Bielsko-Biała, Preisner’s musical education was astonishingly autodidactic, his formal studies at the University of Kraków being history and philosophy. Early exposure to traditional and sacred Polish music, and discovering the works of Gorecki and Sibelius, left no small mark, the latter’s romantic melodicism an audible influence on his work. “Music was part of everyday life, so I didn’t study it,” he reflects. A chance encounter with then-burgeoning filmmaker Krzysztof Kieślowski in 1984 would be the start of one of the most significant collaborations of our time, beginning with No End (1984) and ending with an unbelievably inspired succession of works: Dekalog (1988-89), The Double Life of Véronique (1991) and the Three Colours trilogy (1993-94).) 26.00

V/A - Cease & Resist - Sonic Subversion & Anarcho Punk In The UK 1979-86 DLP  (Anarcho Punk was the one sub-genre of Punk that emerged in isolation from the rock & roll establishment. During its pioneering days of the early 1980s it thrived in opposition to the music industry, existing as a fiercely underground alternative to the bands, labels and venues of the commercialised mainstream Punk scene. It continues to do so. Anarcho Punk represented one of the last truly underground and autonomous music movements ever witnessed and remains a movement that has never sold out and has never gone away. The major differentiation between the Anarcho Punk acts and the more traditional Punk outfits was that for the former, albeit often more due to musical limitation than intent, the message was more important than the music. Standard song structures were often dispersed with in favour of a relentless lyrical polemic accompanied by a similarly uncompromising aural assault. As the scene grew, so did the diversity of records that emerged under the Anarcho Punk umbrella: from D & V (drums & vocals) to the proto-EBM synth-pop of Belfast’s one-man Hit Parade and the Dadaist Beefheart hybrid of The Cravats. In later days the two biggest acts of the scene, Flux of Pink Indians and Crass themselves, both released LPs which had more in common with improv Jazz than hardcore punk.) 36.00

V/A - Athos (Echoes From The Holy Mountain) DLP (flee - Mount Athos, known as the «Holy Mountain,» is a monastic peninsula in northeastern Greece, central to Eastern Orthodox monasticism for over a millennium. Its twenty monasteries house around 2,000 monks dedicated to prayer and worship, which songs have echoed across the Aegean Sea for centuries, heard only by visiting pilgrims, isolated from conventional time and global events. After several years of research, and several visits to the retired community, we are happy to present our new project «Athos : Echoes from the Holy Mountain» dedicated to this liturgic music and repertoire that seems to be evolving outside the usual boundaries of time and space. Rooted in Byzantine chant, this a cappella tradition essential to monastic life featuring intricate yet serene melodies designed to facilitate prayer and contemplation, using a system of modes and scales to create a meditative atmosphere.) 37.00

COLISEUM - Infinite Shit TAPE (patient boy - A new album from all three members of Coliseum, but not a new Coliseum album. C.L.S.M.’s Infinity Shit is ten songs of blistering hardcore punk with unhinged vocals that deal with the chaotic insanity of everyday life in a world overrun with greed, self-infatuation, instant gratification, and ever-deepening class divisions. It’s the perfect punk record for this moment. It’s a hammer the shatters the facade of our daily reality.) 10.00

UNBROKEN - Ritual TAPE (The first album release from San Diego, CA's Unbroken. The tracks on this album offer a glimpse into the starting point of what would become one of the '90s most iconic hardcore bands. ROLAND KAYN – The Ortho-Project 15xCD (frozen reeds - Gold-stamped box with 15x CDS Returning to the unreleased oeuvre of the master of cybernetic sound Roland Kayn, frozen reeds hereby unveils a new high watermark for longform electroacoustic composition, unfolding across 15 CDs in a luxurious gold-stamped boxed set. With Jim O’Rourke applying his signature restorative touch to the audio, and Robert Beatty taking his cryptic cybernetics-inspired artwork several steps beyond the label’s previous Kayn box, ‘The Ortho-Project’ (2007) finally sees a fitting release. In 1970, Roland Kayn began a decades-long period of research, development and creation at the Instituut voor Sonologie in Utrecht. In the mid to late 90s, Kayn retired, relocated to the Dutch countryside, and began to realise new electronic works at Reiger Recording Studio – his modest home facility. “I finally came to the conclusion,” he would later point out, “that I no longer needed studios to construct my own electronic music.”The working methods Kayn arrived at individually – without the room-filling synthesisers, mixing desks and signal-processing equipment of Sonology at his disposal – saw him turning his own career into a cybernetic process. From the hours of recorded sound amassed in prior decades, he began processing and assembling a mountainous quantity of new music. His works of this period are focused on reabsorbing and recontextualising his life’s work to produce yet another series of utterly alien landscapes. From his retirement until his death in 2011, Kayn was wildly prolific, leaving an archive of dozens of finished electronic pieces. Earlier source material is often resculpted using the technology Kayn had available to hand, while other techniques such as sampling radio broadcasts or the plunderphonic quotation of others’ works occasionally intercede. No notes accompany any of this music – no word of explanation or expression of intent. Only the works and their titles remain, the latter often simply deepening the mystery. Their durations range from around 20 minutes to almost 18 hours. The Ortho-Project, presented here in its entirety, is among the longest. At this scale, Kayn’s music is perhaps at its most immersive; the listener senses they are being invited to envelope themselves in a rich environment of diverse timbral physicality rather than a programmatic work. This is simply electronic music as you have never experienced it before.) 120.00
