BEAT HAPPENING - crashing through 2x7“ (optic nerve - Limited 4 track Double 7" in gatefold sleeve. Pressed on yellow vinyl. Includes postcard and poster. Part of the Optic Sevens 3.0 Reissue Series. Formed in Olympia, Washington in 1982 by Calvin Johnson, Heather Lewis and Bret Lunsford. This 4 track single was originally released in 1987 on 53rd & 3rd records and appears here for the first time on 7“) 19.00

FUTURISK - Recordings 1980-1982 3x7" + Flexi BOXSET (Minimal Wave is proud to present ‘Recordings 1980-1982’ (MW077), a triple 7” box set by pioneering south Florida synth-punk band Futurisk, in honor of their 40th anniversary. Founded by Jeremy Kolosine in 1978, Futurisk recorded many songs and performed live throughout the early 1980s. Though they had released two 7”s that sold out, had a legendary live show, and even some videos, by 1984 Futurisk was history. Eventually, the main core of Futurisk would be the Jeremy Kolosine, Richard Hess, and Jack Howard line-up though much happened leading up to this point. In 1979, the teenage Jeremy Kolosine won studio time and money in a competition with his drum-machine-triggered guitar-synth act called ‘Clark Humphrey & Futurisk’. He decided to form a band around the name to record a more punk release titled The Sound of Futurism 1980 / Army Now. It was an ambivalent anti-war anthem with Jack Howard on drums, Frank Lardino on synth, and Kolosine on vocals and guitar synth. Many live shows ensued with the line-up which included Jeff Marcus on bass and Vinnie Scrimenti on drums but in 1981 a rift between the band caused them to part ways. They continued for a bit as ‘Radio Berlin’ (no relation to the Vancouver act) and Kolosine, who had gotten absorbed in a new analog synthesizer with sequencer continued as Futurisk. He recruited synthesist and recording engineer Richard Hess who had a myriad collection of Moogs, Oberhieims, and CATs. Jack Howard returned on drums and syn-drums and the lineup for the Player Piano EP was cast. The EP, like the live show, was a strange blend of punk, minimalist, and disco-influenced electro-pop, with drum machine triggered synths and often frantic real drums all led by Kolosine’s schizophrenic Bowie / Ferry / Foxx adulations. It was recorded by Richard Hess and the band in the rooms of a friend’s house. The drum sound, recorded in a bathroom, rocks, even today. Reportedly, Futurisk may have been the first synth-punk band in the American South, and their 1981 track ‘Push Me Pull You (Pt. 2)’ was an early pre- ‘Rockit’ excursion into electro-funk. The ‘Recordings 1980-1982’ box set includes three 7”s, an Army Now (1982) 7” Flexi, and a 16-page full-color booklet featuring unpublished photographs of the band, the history of the band, and an interview with founder Jeremy Kolosine. The three 7”s are The Sound of Futurism 1980 / Army Now which includes an unreleased track from the same session, the Player Piano five-song 7” EP from 1982, and the Ocean Sound 7”, which has not been released in this format until now. All three 7”s are remastered, pressed on heavyweight 70-gram vinyl, and housed in heavy color printed matte sleeves featuring the band’s original artwork. The box is case wrapped and depicts an early illustration of the band printed in black on white with a spot gloss. Limited edition of 600 copies.) 55.00

AUSTIN LUCAS - Alive in the Hotzone LP (sabotage - Austin Lucas releases his new album ”Alive In The Hot Zone!” October 30th, 2020. Written and recorded in the earliest days of the Covid-19 pandemic and Black Lives Matter/American uprising, this album represents a new direction for Austin, yet retains his distinctive voice and hyperliterate writing style. Contained are ten songs that serve as direct commentary regarding the ongoing global situation, isolation, fear and the indomitable spirit required to stand up against systemic racism and fascism, in a world spiraling out of control. An American songwriter and political activist currently experiencing a more or less involuntary exile, Austin finds himself isolated in a foreign land, far away from his family and friends. He watches with terror and no small amount of inspirational awe, as his country buckles under the weight of a pandemic and yet it’s people find the courage and strength to rise up for a long overdue reckoning with centuries of systemic oppression. Although an authoritarian narcissist and white supremacist sits in the White House and men of his ilk occupy top positions of power all across the globe, Austin Lucas comes to us with a message of hope and his most concisely empathetic and political album to date!) 15.00

BARNEY WILEN - Moshi DLP + DVD (In 1970 Barney Wilen assembled a team of filmmakers, technicians and musicians to travel to Africa for the purpose of recordi ng the music of the native pygmy tribes. Upon returning to Paris two years later, he created Moshi, a dark, eccentric effort fusing avantjazz sensibilities with African rhythms, ambient sound effects and melodies rootedin American blues traditions. Cut withFrench and African players including guitarist Pierre Chaze, pianist Michel Graillier and percussionist Didier Leon , this is music with few precedents or followers, spanning from extraterrestrial dissonance to earthbound, streetlegal funk. Wilen pays little heed to conventional structure, assembling tracks like "Afrika Freak Out" and "Zombizar" from spare parts of inde terminate origins. (Jason Ankeny, AMG) Revelatory reissue of Barney Wilen’s ambitious jazz-fusion journey, Moshi (1972), presenting the legendary French jazzman and Miles Davis-sideman’s wildly ambitious effort fusing recordings of Pygmy tribes with African rhythms and stellar avantjazz leanings, sounding little like anything before or since its release. (boomkat) Super rare and long out of print, the ground-breaking 1972 album from saxophonist Barney Wilen receives a reissue treatment of the highest order. Complete with a 20-page booklet and a never before seen DVD chronicling Wilen’s trip to Africa, this one is sure to be a delight for fans old and new. The deepest spiritual jazz grooves meet field recordings from the Upper Volta and b eyond, whilst psych rock influences collide with hypnotic and shamanistic percussion work. Truly one of the most out -there jazz records we’ve stocked for a long time! (bleep) Originally issued by the seminal imprint Saravah in 1972, and among the most uncategorizable and sought after artefacts of the French avant-garde, Barney Wilen’s Moshi is nothing short of a masterpiece - long holding a coveted spot in the hearts of adventurous listeners and record collectors alike. A wild unkept cultural collage. A series of sonic experiments. A spiritual, psychedelic pilgrimage into the unknown - darting from one continent to the next, each of its tangents building toward a more optimist world view through ordered sound. Its scope remains as difficult to understand today as it was when it was released. Now brought back into the light by Souffle Continu, this is a moment to be celebrated far and wide. BLACK MIDI - Cavalcade LP (4AD - ‘Cavalcade’ is the second album by London experimental/noise/math rock band black midi. It is the follow-up to their hugely acclaimed debut ‘Schlagenheim’. Just like its predecessor, ‘Cavalcade’ draws from a range of influences from King Crimson to 1990's Chicago post-rock and takes a number of exciting musical twists and turns. Another modern rock classic.  *One copy of the standard LP in the UK will have a golden ticket inside. Whoever finds it can choose from the following prizes: 1) black midi will be the function band for an event of your choice 2) One day in the studio with black midi for a creative collaboration 3) Guestlist spots for two people for all future worldwide black midi headline live shows for 10 years. Rules on the band’s website.*) 22.00

BLEAKNESS - a world to rebuild LP (sabotage - A year after the release of Bleakness first album « Functionally Extinct » december 2020 will see the release of another Bleakness record entitled « A world To Rebuild ». Rather than a continuation of the album, this records must be considered as an extension since it features tracks recorded in May 2019 at Swan Sound Studio during the same session as the full lenght. This 6 songs EP includes the two very last songs written before the band entered Swan Sound Studio : « A World To Rebuild » and « Revenge », some may see in these an indicator of the direction that the next recordings will take. This record also includes re-recorded and slightly different versions of Discarded Tales and Remedy The Unease, this one was previously released as an instrumental on the Disquietude 2018 demo. And to give even more consistency to this 12 », long time friends Jacky Cadiou (from Syndrome 81) and Ryan Pattersion (known as Fotocrime) have worked on remixes of « The Closing Door » and « Over and Over ». The result is both varied and coherent, this limited 12” is a collection of dark and bleak melodies played in different forms. Depending on their mood, the listener can enjoy these sad Bleakness hymns in a raging post-punk or almost cold wave and terribly dancing way.) 12.00

COMA REGALIA - Marked LP (shove - A deep, submersive and intense journey through the screamy hardcore mind of one of the longest running screamo bands. 12 tracks that blend honesty, passion, chaos and beauty into one of the best full length experiences of 2021.) 14.00

DITTERICH VON EULER DONNERSPERG - Weisheit Aus Des Kindes Mund Tut Uns Stets Die Wahrheit Kund LP (a colorful storm - Wisdom from the child’s mouth always tells us the truth. It’s hard to overstate the influence of Ditterich von Euler-Donnersperg on A Colourful Storm; indeed, it’s almost impossible to imagine the label’s existence without it. A figure whose movements within Germany’s industrial avant-garde span almost forty years, it would be in 2010 that he unknowingly entered our orbit through two important releases. At the time, SPK’s Auto-Da-Fé and Throbbing Gristle’s Journey Through A Body left some impression on us, their discovery propelling an interest in the possibilities opened up by industrial music that we still explore today. Responsible for publishing these releases was Walter Ulbricht Schallfolien - who, or what, were they? Founded in 1980 by Hamburg-based Uli Rehberg, Walter Ulbricht Schallfolien was a base for Laibach, Asmus Tietchens and Werkbund as well as Rehberg’s own artistic endeavours: the most devilishly humorous his adopting of the name Dr. Kurt Euler, spokesperson of a satirical political party comprised of musicians Felix Kubin and Gregor Hartz. The project would foreshadow the life of Ditterich von Euler-Donnersperg, an alias unveiled in 1998 with the first in a series of spoken word 7” picture discs that have since become highly collectable.) 22.00

CONNAN MOCKASIN - Caramel LP (phantasy - Limited edition 2021 re-press of Connan Mockasin's second album 'Caramel' on gold and white splatter 12" vinyl - Though he didn’t know it when he was making his sophomore LP back in 2013, history would come to see Connan Mockasin’s Caramel as part of the wave of indie chill vibes albums™ that crested with Mac Demarco’s Salad Days the following year. Nevertheless, the Kiwi Ariel Pink did at least as decent a job as ol’ Mac with Caramel, a record of psych-pop as treacley as the title suggests.) 26.00

CONNAN MOCKASIN - Forever Dolphin Love LP (phantasy - It's been exactly a decade since Connan Mockasin's classic album, 'Forever Dolphin Love' was released as the first album on Phantasy. As such, this record holds huge significance for the label, evolving us beyond the singles of our first few years and into a full musical world that we truly believed in. Part of our ethos is that music and the physical format should be affordable and accessible, so after seeing 'Forever Dolphin Love' sell for over £100 a copy on the second hand market, and given the occasion, we're delighted to announce a re-press of Mockasin's beguiling debut on limited-edition splatter vinyl.) 26.00

The project would foreshadow the life of Ditterich von Euler-Donnersperg, an alias unveiled in 1998 with the first in a series of spoken word 7” picture discs that have since become highly collectable. Attracting an enviable list of collaborators throughout his career (John Duncan, Thomas Köner and Column One have all lent their expertise), it is perhaps the enigmatic Werkbund project that remains most coveted within the world of von Euler-Donnersperg. Cloistered and clandestine since their inception in 1987, their brooding, synthetik atmospheres have long been speculated to be the work of von Euler-Donnersperg himself. Listen to Werkbund’s Skagerrak or Stahlhof and tell us we’re wrong...) 22.00

DURUTTI COLUMN – Red Shoes LP (spittle - First ever re-issue on vinyl. Red Shoes includes eight new recordings (dated early 1992), five unreleased tracks, a new version of When The World and more sophisticated rendition of For Madeleine and For Zinni. Vini develops his musical journey using fascinating licks for guitar, steeped in New Age, minimalism, soft electric folk and ambient music (we stressed to remind you that Vini’s style has been long informed by kosmische heroes such as Manuel Göttsching or Günter Schickert and even John Martyn). The album offers even the re-issue of the mini album Greetings Three, a very important goal for the band and the label Materiali Sonori. In fact, the four tracks included on this record - released in 1985 - have been explicitly dedicated to Italy, Tuscany and to new Italian friends. Along with Vini Reilly you will find the talent of Bruce Mitchell (drums) and John Metcalfe (violin) on display.) 18.00

ENTROPY - Liminal LP (crazy sane - All songs written by Hans Frese. Music recorded and mixed by Jens Siefert at RAMA Studios. Vocals recorded by Kristian Kühl at Ton13. Mastered by Hauke Albecht. Entropy initially started out as a bedroom project but soon developed into a full-fledged band devoted to fusing heavier post-hardcore sounds and indie and shoegaze elements. Think Hüsker Dü meets Helmet meets Nothing meets Torche. There’s a distinct 90s vibe here, sure, but Entropy doesn’t just want to conjure up the past – their energy and drive propels them into the present and keeps their feet firmly planted in the here and now. The band features former and current members of The Now-Denial, Night Slug, Hillside and EA80. Herr Neumann (duesenjaeger) “This is nothing less than the best German emo/indie record of the last ten years, and I'm tempted to up that to fifteen years, because I cannot recall anything of recent vintage that comes even close.”) 21.00

FACS - present tense LP (trouble in mind - Chicago trio FACS never stop pushing forward; they've honed and refined their stark, minimal scrape and clatter for four years and counting, having risen out of the ashes of beloved Chicago band Disappears in 2018 with the bone-rattling intensity of Negative Houses. The trio return in 2021 with Present Tense, their fourth album and perhaps their sharpest statement as a band. Opener "XOUT" barrels forward like a tank, with Case's guitar chiming like warning bells, until the climax comes crashing down, glitching out near the close. "Strawberry Cough" comes next, its fusion of corporeal playing and stately, electronic heartbeats punctured by random bursts of noise or backwards masked sounds. "Alone Without", a track originally recorded for Adult Swim's 2020 singles series appears next in different form; more menacing and serpentine. Side two opens with "General Public", taking the loud/quiet dynamic as a jumping off point for the song's unsettling seasick vibe. `How To See In the Dark" offers a brief respite, with its persistent, dark quietude that lingers until the song's end. "Present Tense", the album's title track, offers up its first truly weird moment mid-song when the song changes mood distinctly, and the music drops out save for Case's guitar and vocals.) 25.00

HIDE - Interior Terror LP (DIAS - HIDE are an electronic duo based in Chicago. The pair create dark and heavy samplebased compositions using a combination of self-sourced field recordings and various pop culture and media references. Their music is textured, minimal, and powerful, giving raw vulnerability an opportunity to unfurl. Their work is honest, confrontational, powerful and thought-provoking. HIDE's third album, Interior Terror further abandons traditional concepts of song structure in favor of splintered rhythms and fevered, immediate release. Expanding on previous themes of autonomy and empowerment, Interior Terror addresses and questions the corporeal and immaterial body in a physical and metaphysical sense. Turning to the dread inside, reflecting on the world around us, HIDE gives voice to the power of destruction as a catalyst for hope, and to the collective experiences of those who've come before us as a wellspring of our own power. Raw vocal delivery of mantra-like prose issued forth yields a raging, plaintive wail that lulls, mocks, questions, proclaims and decries. A dearth of collected field recordings give way to more fluid arrangements while retaining a scathing urgency. The result is minimal, spacious, and jarring; a distant knocking grown into the pulse of a hypnotic dirge, drones emerge from shards of decomposed sound, bending, seething their way through your body.) 27.00

ICONACLASS - Changing Culture with Revolvers LP (sabotage - IconAclass is a passion project from MC/producer Will Brooks. Best known as MC dälek, the front person and co-producer in experimental Hip Hop group Dälek. He has explored the left of center/ wall of noise world ala My Bloody Valentine meets Public Enemy on 8 studio albums and numerous collaborations. Their sophomore full length album Changing Culture with Revolvers features MC dälek back on production and Emcee duties, and recruits long time deadverse massive & Labteksmember, Dev-One on vocals as well. The contrast in voice and rhyme style provides the album with a brand new take on hard hitting gritty East Coast Hip Hop. As always, cuts are provided by Mixmaster Motiv. Changing Culture with Revolvers is poised to open eyes and infiltrate eardrums. Pure hip-hop, hypnotic, heavy beats serve as more than just a backdrop. They focus a spotlight squarely on the lyrics, and iconAclass has a lot on their mind! 12 tracks with a heady blend of lyrics and grimy East Coast Boom-Bap beats skewed through the Deadverse prism.) 16.00

JOHN DUNCAN - Soft Eyes LP (ideal - Edition of 300 copies - Venerable avant-gardist John Duncan supplies quietly jaw-dropping new fruits from his fertile relationship with iDEAL Recordings, rendering a concept album for the times split between thoughts on social energy/ failure, and intimacy, in his singular style. In quizzical pursuit of the haunted muse that’s informed Duncan’s boundary-pushing work since the late ‘70s, and which has lit up the iDEAL catalogue over the past half decade, ’Soft Eyes’ renders Duncan’s oblique reading of the psychic zeitgeist in subtly contrasting sides of furtively rhythm-driven and richly atmospheric songcraft. In keeping with Duncan’s reputation as a sort of avant garde shaman or psychopomp, there’s something unfathomably timeless and ineffably eternal about his work on ’Soft Eyes’, which follows the course of his modern classics such as the songbook of wizened covers ‘Bitter Earth’ (2016), and last year’s ‘Red Sky’ 2CD, without feeling like he’s re-treading old ground, and still sounding vitally unusual. The record’s first half revolves around Duncan’s thoughts on social energy and failure, from crowds to tribal gatherings, in a low-key but extraordinary style. Chamber wind meets a metallic pulse somewhere between dembow and Yemeni folk to underline his achingly hoarse vocals on ‘The Rabid Position’, while the lurking vox of ’Say No’ smartly reaffirms his counter-cultural cache, and the queered ambience of ‘Homecoming’ sees him slip into a sort of curdled tribal reverie. On the other hand, the B-side dwells in a starker, intimate half light, with songs stripped to a spectral quintessence between the petal-fall keys and prickly sax of ‘Foreplay’, a face freezing, ASMR-triggering beauty titled ‘Frenzy’, and an unmissable, abyss-hovering vision ‘Resolve’, and pooling into the miasmic folk strings and stygian glyde of ‘The Beautiful Attempt.’) 27.00

KEIJI HAINO / JIM O'ROURKE / OREN AMBARCHI - Each side has a depth of 5 seconds / A polka dot pattern in horizontal array / A flickering that moves vertically LP (black truffle - The trio of Keiji Haino, Jim O’Rourke, and Oren Ambarchi return to Black Truffle with their 10th release, recorded live in Tokyo in February, 2017. While many of the trio’s recent works have seen them focussing primarily on their core guitar/bass/drums power trio format, on Each side has a depth of 5 seconds A polka dot pattern in horizontal array A flickering that moves vertically these three multi-instrumentalists strike into new territory, utilising an almost entirely electronic set-up, with Haino on electronics, drum machine and suona (a Chinese double-reed horn), O’Rourke on synth, and Ambarchi on pedal steel and electronics. Dedicated to the memory of legendary Tokyo underground figure Hideo Ikeezumi, founder of PSF Records and the Modern Music shop and a long-term collaborator with Haino, the LP, (recorded the night Ikeezumi passed away), begins in a sombre, meditative space of rippling, burbling electronics and distant jets of white noise. Though much of the ‘Introduction’ that occupies the record’s first side is spacious and at times almost hushed, the performance is full of unexpected twists and turns, momentary events, and fleeting impressions. The trio conjures up a free-flowing surge of sound in which individual contributions are often difficult to distinguish, calling up echoes of vintage live-electronic sizzle like It’s Viaje or the cavernous expanse of David Behrman’s Wave Train. The LP’s second side opens in a similarly reflective realm, before Haino’s suona enters, taking the music in a more austere, hieratic direction, as the reed’s piercing tones are accompanied by O’Rourke’s uneasy, sliding synth figures and Ambarchi’s shimmering Leslie cabinet tones. On the side’s second piece, Haino’s signature hand-played drum machine takes centre-stage, at first sounding out massive, isolated strikes, before eventually building to a tumbling, Milford Graves-esque wall of thunder. As O’Rourke’s synth squelches and stutters and Ambarchi’s heavily effected pedal steel somehow begins to sound like a kind of hellish blues harmonica, this passage offers up one of the most electrifying and bizarre moments in the trio’s catalogue to date.) 26.00

MASAYOSHI FUJITA - bird ambience DLP (erased tapes - Bird Ambience brings several fresh changes for the artist. Until now, Fujita would separate his acoustic solo recordings, the electronic dub made under his El Fog alias, and his experimental improvisations with contemporaries such as Jan Jelinek. The new album sees him unite all these different facets for the first time into one singular vision. He also makes a lateral leap from his signature instrument the vibraphone – on which he created his acclaimed triptych Stories (2012), Apologues (2015) and Book of Life (2018) – to the marimba, which takes centre stage on his new record alongside drums, percussion, synths, effects and tape recorder. ) 30.00

NEON LIES - Loveless Adventures LP (black verb - “Loveless Adventures” is the third full length album and the most ambitious artistic output in Neon Lies’ discography, which will be released April 20th on multiple formats. Wave Tension Records, Cut Surface, Cosmic Brood and Black Verb Records teamed up for the 12” vinyl, while cd and tape are released on Periphylla and Mental Healing, respectively. Neon Lies started as a synth wave bedroom one man project in late 2015 by Goran Lautar while he was still singing and playing guitar in Modern Delusion and The Celetoids, prominent bands from Zagreb D.I.Y. punk and post punk scene gathered around label Doomtown Records. Soon after that initial period, the project already became a full time one man band adventure. Since then, Neon Lies toured and played shows endlessly, releasing two albums (“Neon Lies” and “II”) on Black Verb Records and Cosmic Brood Records. Also some limited lathe cut 7"singles for Vinylograph and tracks on numerous compilations, including couple of digital only EP's for Balkan Veliki and Detonic Records have been released. ) 18.00

REIGNING SOUND - a little more time with LP (merge - A Little More Time, Reigning Sound's seventh proper full-length, is the original lineup's first in-studio collaboration since 2005's Home for Orphans LP, which Merge reissued last year. Ultimately, that 2020 reissue laid the groundwork for the outfit's reunification. Cartwright explains, "When Merge reissued Home for Orphans, we booked a little string of shows with the original lineup. We still love to get together and play every couple years." The short reunion tour wrapped just as pandemic hit the United States. Soon after, Cartwright found himself with a batch of new songs. With Reigning Sound's current lineup based in New York City, then a COVID-19 hotspot, Cartwright made the decision to produce the new record back in Memphis_though he did regret not being able to work with the players behind 2014's Daptone-recorded Shattered. "It was not something I anticipated, making a record with the original lineup again," Cartwright says. "Mainly, because I had guys I was playing with, and we had an established dynamic that was working. In addition to working with old bandmates, Cartwright enlisted acclaimed producer Scott Bomar (Al Green, William Bell) at Electraphonic Recording, to produce in downtown Memphis. "Scott was in a band called Impala for many years," Cartwright recalls. "And he also played bass with me and Jack [Yarber] on the Compulsive Gamblers' Bluff City album. He has the machine I like to record on, a Scully one-inch 8-track. I've worked on one-inch 8-tracks for the last four records, and I'm kind of addicted." While having 24 tracks offers up more capability for overdubs, Cartwright prefers the limitations of 8-tracks.) 25.00

PIERRE BAROUH - le pollen LP + 7“ (wrwtfw - Incredible album by French singer Pierre Barouh recorded July 1982 at Nippon Columbia Studio in Tokyo and composed, arranged, and played by a monumental cast of legendary musicians and producers including Yasuaki Shimizu, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Yukihiro Takahashi, Francis Lai, Kazuhiko Katoh, Motohiko Hamase, most of the Moonriders (Keiichi Suzuki, Tohru Okada, Masahiro Takekawa), Daniel Lavoie, Masanori Sasaji, Hideo Yamaki (Toshinori Kondo & IMA) and many more. Also featuring David Sylvian, Harumi Ohzora, and Nanako Satoh. Scroll down for full credits!) 25.00

SAD LOVERS & GIANTS - Lost In A Sea Full Of Sighs LP (dark entires - 2021 Repress. Incl. 8-page black and white Zine Booklet + Tour Poster. Sad Lovers & Giants are a post-punk band from Watford, England who formed in 1980. The original lineup included vocalist Garçe (Simon) Allard, guitarist Tristan Garel-Funk, bassist Cliff Silver, drummer Nigel Pollard, and keyboardist/saxophonist David Wood. In 1981, they released the 3-song 7” EP “Clé” and the "Colourless Dream" single. The “Lost In A Moment” 7” single followed in 1982. They released two studio albums, “Epic Garden Music” and “Feeding the Flame”, before disbanding in 1983. The band reformed in 1987. “Lost In A Sea Full Of Sighs” is a collection of 9 songs recorded between 1981 and 1982. Seven songs from their first three 7” singles plus one demo and one song recorded for a John Peel Session in 1981 are compiled here. Lead singer and songwriter Garce Allard was influenced by the works of Sartre, Orwell, Huxley, Dali, and Kafka. Perhaps his most significant inspiration was T.S. Eliot’s ‘The Wasteland’, which perfectly captured Allard's own feelings of alienation. Allard's lyrics are often autobiographical, and lean melodramatic. The music is moody and cerebral, awash with synthesizer swirls and sax interjections. The Chameleons, Modern English and The Cure. All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The jacket, designed by Eloise Leigh, features a drawing of an espalier used for "horizontal training”, a technique to control the directional growth of plants. Each copy includes an 8-page black and white zine booklet with lyrics, liner notes, and drawings, plus an 8.5x11” gig poster from the band’s archives. “Thissmall anthology of songs, by a little known and perverse English band from the 1980’s means as much to us as I hope it will to you.” (Garce Allard)) 21.00

TREES SPEAK - PostHuman LP + 7“ (Soul jazz - This is incredibly Trees Speak's third album on Soul Jazz Records to be released in the space of one year - and it's amazing! Trees Speak's new album 'PostHuman' once again blends 1970s German electronic and 'motorik' Krautrock instrumentals (think Harmonia, Can, Cluster, Popul Vuh, Neu!), haunting and powerful 1960s & 1970s soundtracks (think Italian prog-rock Goblin and John Carpenter horror movies, Morricone and existential John Barry spy movies), together with a New York no wave electronic synth and guitar analogue DIY-ness (think Suicide, anything on Soul Jazz's New York Noise series or Eno's New York No Wave)! Drawing further upon German krautrock high-concept albums from the likes of Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze from the 1970s, Trees Speak create their own powerful new landscapes of sound that manage to be at once contemporary as well as both timeless and with a sense of science-fiction futurism. Trees Speak' segue together all these elements into 'PostHuman,' which follows on from their criticallyacclaimed debut LP 'Ohms', and 'Shadow Forms' released on Soul Jazz Records less than six months ago. This powerful new album is a high-concept collage of retro-futurist science-fiction music, fantastically illustrated by the artist Eric Lee, a dramatic vision of life after humanity. Trees Speak are Daniel Martin Diaz and Damian Diaz from Tucson, Arizona and their music often draws on the cosmic night-time magic of Arizona's natural desert landscapes. 'Trees Speak' relates to the idea of future technologies storing information and data in trees and plants - using them as hard drives - and the idea that Trees communicate collectively. The album includes an exclusive bonus 45 single 'Machine Vision' and 'Seventh Mirror' that will only be available with the first order of the vinyl edition of this amazing and ground-breaking new album. With 'PostHuman,' Trees Speak once again manages to take the listener deep into their unique musical world of unknown visions of the past and the future.) 30.00

TAPES

MOLCHAT DOMA - S Krysh Nashikh Domov TAPE (sacred nones - When С крыш наших домов ( S Krysh Nashikh Domov), the debut album by Molchat Doma, was released in 2017, it announced a bold new voice in underground music. The album found a passionate audience on Bandcamp and other streaming services and was released on CD and cassette. Sacred Bones Records is proud to present the album on vinyl for the first time. Molchat Doma (translated as “Houses Are Silent”), founded in 2017 in Minsk, Belarus, stands at the intersection of post-punk, new-wave and synth-pop. Dark yet danceable, and with a heavy dose of goth ethos, their music is reminiscent of the masters that predate them, but make no mistake: Molchat Doma creates a sound and meaning that is immediately recognizable as all their own.  ) 12.00

MOLCHAT DOMA - Etazhi TAPE (The second LP by Belarussian trio Molchat Doma, Этажи (pronounced Etazhi, meaning “Floors”), was first released in 2018 on Berlin-based Detriti Records. It became a viral hit, garnering over one million views on YouTube and becoming a legitimate phenomenon on Bandcamp. The band may fly under the radar in their native Belarus, but they’ve reached huge audiences across Europe and beyond. Six separate vinyl pressings of the album have sold out in quick succession, and Sacred Bones Records is now thrilled to bring the record back in print for good.) 12.00
