METZ & SWAMI JOHN REIS - let it rust 7“ (swami - Metz teaming up with Swami John Reis is a collaboration easy to wrap ones head around. When Metz found themselves on tour in San Diego with a couple of hours to spare, Reis immediately booked some studio time in the hopes of capturing this unions glorious noise. The four of them came up with these two songs and now they are friends for life. The sound is reminiscent of an army of seagulls attacking a blind sushi chef inside a burning Benihana of Tokyo) 10.00

ABORTED AT LINE 6 - Mammut LP (mecanica - Aborted At Line 6 was a project that emerged from the inside of a Swiss company which sold electronic equipment and batteries. Carlos Perón (founder of Yello) sat on the same desk as the later publisher Urs Steiger. The other members Martin Sturzenegger, Moritz Faccin and Andrea Fürer sat separately through a glass pane in their own office and sold TEAK products. Chris Lunch was the only not employed in this company. He was working on some stuff at the Splatt Studio owned by Carlos Perón. They all had a ritual to drink a bottle of Mumm champagne early in the mornings. Since it was not allowed to drink in the workplace, the glasses were disguised as a coffee mug and used the winged word "Mümmli”. ) 17.00
BÄRCHEN UND DIE MILCHBUBIS - Jung kaputt spart Altersheime 12“ (hoehnie - Finally Re Issued - Great punk from Hanover with an outstanding female singer, originally issued in single-format on the infamous NO FUN-Label in 1980. For the first time repressed since then – this time in 12″ format – it contains one great bonus-track never issued before.) 13.00
CESSPOOL - We Hide Among You LP (adult crash - 8 tracks of Copenhagen-based international hardcore punk stomp. Like a brickwall colliding with a face! Recorded @ Blakklodge, mastered by Will Killingsworth. Artwork by Nicky Rat.) 16.00
DEAFHEAVEN - Infinite Granite DLP (Sargent house - Over the course of their first ten years, Deafheaven’s music vacillated between tormented beauty and harmonic rage, a hybrid of black metal’s malice and shoegaze’s sublime wall-of-sound. On their fifth album, Infinite Granite, Deafheaven are no longer toying with the juxtaposition of pitting metallic abrasion against swirling grandeur. Quite the opposite: Infinite Granite is a bold and brave leap forward, a gorgeous and invigorating album brimming with style and splendor. In the context of their catalog, it takes on a whole other layer of defiant beauty.) 35.00
DEVENDRA BANHART & NOAH GEORGESON - Refuge DLP (col. vinyl) (dead oceans - “Last spring, Devendra Banhart and Noah Georgeson started to make a record that was like nothing they had made before _ an ambient album that would be both a haven from a suddenly terrified world and a heartfelt musical dialogue between two artists who have been friends and collaborators for over two decades. Refuge is an album of profound meditative beauty which offers the listener a much-needed sense of peace and renewal. But while it was recorded in 2020 its roots go back much further _ all the way to the start of their friendship and, beyond that, to the shared sounds and ethics of their childhoods. Devendra grew up in Venezuela while Noah, six years older, is a native of Nevada City, California. But as they got to know each other, they realised that they had a similar history in the New Age subculture of the 1980s: a world of meditation, Eastern music, the Bhagavad Gita and The Whole Earth Catalog. Childhood memories were coloured by the aromas of health food stores and the sound of New Age labels like Windham Hill Records. Noah, whose production and mixing credits include Joanna Newsom and the Strokes, came on board as co-producer of Devendra's 2005 album Cripple Crow and they have been working together ever since. It was while making Devendra's 2019 album Ma that the pair finally decided to make their ambient record. Despite complicating logistics, 2020 created an emotional craving for music with this contemplative, therapeutic quality. Inspired by both memories of the past and the needs of the present, Refuge is an act of companionship and generosity which gives the listener room to breathe. "We're hoping to create a sense of comfort and coming back to the moment," Devendra says. "It's really important to have a little bit of space between us and our anxieties and impulses. What you do with that space is up to you." - Dorian Lynskey May 2021) 36.00
IHMESPATZEN – Haste Musi, haste Töne LP (hoenie - Killer NDW from Hannover - Recorded in December 1981, except "Neue Deutsche Welle" live 04.08.1982 Raschplatz-Pavillon Hannover, recorded by Thomas Buch, previously released on the MC "Die IHMESPATZEN verspilen sich" LTD to 500 copies) 17.00
IL QUADRO DI TROISI (EVA GEIST & DONATO DOZZY) – Il Quadro di Troisi LP (raster - Raster presents »Il Quadro di Troisi« a project by Andrea Noce (Eva Geist) and Donato Scaramuzzi (Donato Dozzy). The record is a colorful ode of an Italian scented vision, overflowing of details and profound intensity. The contemporary world condition, the pandemic in Italy and around the world define »Il Quadro di Troisi« as a unique and right-on-time release. This record is a enigmatic collaboration between the two Italian natives Andrea Noce and Donato Scaramuzzi. Andrea Noce takes lead on the vocals, with Donato Scaramuzzi carving the dreamlike soundscapes of the record. The record was born with a correspondence between the two artists about the late actor and director Massimo Troisi, and this exchange soon became an inspirational source of identification. Andrea Noce’s lyrics are sensitive and multi-faceted, they perfectly cling to the musical phrases and flow like a filmic monologue from the oeuvre of that very Troisi.) 26.00
JUNE OF 44 - Anahata LP (quarterstick - June of 44's fifth full-length album. Often referred to as the punk rock pirates of the math rock world, June of 44 were a collective from 1994-2000. Truly a who's who of the indie world, the band consisted of members and ex-members of Rodan, Rex, Crownhate Ruin, Codeine, Sonora, and Hoover.) 25.00
KANSAN UUTISAN - Suomi Orgasmin Partaalla LP + 12“ (hoehnie - One of Finland's greatest HC-sensations from 80ies! Repress of their one and only LP from 1983 plus their unreleased demos as one-sided 12"! They were the first band on the legendary and iconic "Hardcore '83" compilation on Propaganda and gained and deserved a cult status that goes on still today. Totally outraging ultra-fast HC that takes you to a direct orgasm!) 21.00
NATHAN SALSBURG - Psalms LP (no quarter - Psalms is a collection of new arrangements of Hebrew psalms—Tehillim—composed between 2016 to 2019, and recorded in their entirety, somehow, over the long course of 2020. The project was born of a desire for some kind of rigorous and creative Jewish engagement, which came to take shape in the irregular practice of opening a bilingual Book of Psalms at random, scanning the English (I don’t speak and can only haltingly read Hebrew) of a particular chapter for passages that resonated conceptually and emotionally, and scanned rhythmically. Copying those selections over to a separate page, I worked to thread them into new melodies with the ultimate intention of making them satisfactorily singable. The nine fragments of discrete psalms that comprise this record* were those I regarded as the most successful efforts, by which I mean most pleasing to sing and to play. May listeners find them similarly pleasing to listen to, and perhaps even to sing and play themselves. ) 25.00
MERE MORTAL - Tartarus LP (qchc - Debut 12". Thrash crossover hardcore metal mayhem from members of UKHC The Flex, Big Cheese and Bitter Youth. "MERE MORTAL have arrived! With members hailing from various parts of England, their debut MLP Tartarus, harkens back to the raw sound and atmosphere of the often under-rated UK Thrash Metal scene, with many listeners noticing a distinct similarity in vocalist Liam Fox's approach to that of Benediction-era Barney Greenway, as well as Bolt Thrower's beloved Karl Willetts. Permeated with the darkness, intensity and authority of those forbearers, Fox conjures images of apocalyptic death and despair, leading the charge of MERE MORTAL's thrash assault. Behind him bassist Tom Pimlott, drummer Adam Rogers, and Guitarists Maegan Brooks and Joe Sam Williams charge ahead with a sound that remains equally close to the UK - evoking memories of bands like Virus, Sabbat, Hellbastard, and Sacrilege. Like so many of their progenitors, the members of MERE MORTAL began their musical journeys in the punk scene, and that level of urgency and directness is able to inform their approach to Tartarus, with songs kept brief, direct, and precise. MERE MORTAL's Tartarus is a fine tuned and deadly sharp assault on the once again thriving thrash metal scene." CC - Magic Circle) 16.00
PAUL BLEY TRIO - Closer LP (esp - When Oscar Peterson moved from Montréal to New York in 1949, then-17-year-old Paul Bley took over Peterson's residency at the Alberta Lounge on Peterson's recommendation; in his 20s, Bley played with Charlie Parker. Bley incorporated maverick pianist Lennie Tristano's approach to improvisation and collaborated with Charles Mingus, and in 1958 in Los Angeles famously put together a band with Ornette Coleman, Don Cherry, Charlie Haden, and Billy Higgins. His move into free improvisation in the groundbreaking Jimmy Giuffre 3 brought him acclaim. After moving to New York, he was one of the performers at the Cellar Café in Bill Dixon's 1965 four-day "October Revolution in Jazz" festival, which led to Bley being one of the co-founders shortly thereafter of the Jazz Composers Guild. It was in the midst of that fabled month that Bley recorded his first LP for ESP-Disk' (sixth overall to that point), Barrage. Bley returned to the studio for his second ESP-Disk' LP a bit less than two months later. Closer finds Bley again heavily featuring then-wife Carla's compositions; she's credited on seven of the ten tracks, including two also heard on Barrage, "Batterie" and "And Now the Queen." They sound quite different on this quieter trio date, and the performances are more concise (no track tops the 3:30 mark). Paul Bley included one of his own tunes, "Figfoot," as well as Ornette Coleman's "Crossroads" and future-wife Annette Peacock's "Cartoon." Closer features Bley's distinctive pianism in one of its earliest recorded manifestations. The other players are fellow Jimmy Giuffre 3 member Steve Swallow (bass) and, in his recording debut, Barry Altschul (percussion).) 26.00
PSICO GALERA - Le Stanze Della Mente LP (Static Age - Flailing hardcore punk from Italy filled with lightning fast riffing, locomotive propulsion, all topped with tormented and blown out Nerorgasm(o)-ic vocals. Lying somewhere between a notion of what Wretched would have been trying to do on their second LP and what the lost secretly groove-laden EPs of early 80s Japan a la Bitousha were able to pull together, Psico Galera have made a very new splatter on an old canvas. Over the top guitar leads, slippery tempo shifts, and hints of melody amongst the tuneless torment allow this to hang together as a singular blast of modern punk perfection.) 16.00
RIISTETYT - Nightmares In Darkness LP (hoehnie - Another Finnish HC-classic released on ROR in 1984 and never reissued before that shows impressively why so many punx love Finnish HC worldwide! Comes with the poster-inlay which contains additional photos from Puntala-rock 1983 and lyrics! On the studio-side RIISTETYT sing in English which works surprisingly fine! ATTENTION: The B-side – recorded live – contains 3 bonus-tracks compared to the original LP (but „Mieletöntä Väkivaltaa“ is missing!) and most songs are different versions because RIISTETYT played two shows at Puntala in 1983! On this LP the B-side is much better than on the original LP cause RIISTETYT play here much tighter, especially Piise’s basslines are incredible! Probably they have been already too drunk and wasted the other day. The sound-quality is also good.) 15.00
YO LA TENGO - Fakebook LP (bar none - Awww what an album this is. Earlier Yo La Tengo records had been crunchy full band affairs somewhere between Neil Young and the Feelies but here they stripped down for the first time replacing bass with double bass and drafting in expert guitarist Dave Schramm to run through some of their favourite songs and some originals. The result is superb as they delve deep into the musical past re-inventing songs by the likes of the Kinks, John Cale and the Flaming Groovies. ) 21.00
V/A - The Bob's Burgers Music Album Vol. 2 3xLP (sub pop - This 90-song smorgasbord will feature the Belcher family - Bob (H. Jon Benjamin), Linda (John Roberts), Tina (Dan Mintz), Gene (Eugene Mirman), and Louise (Kristen Schaal) - as well as the show’s numerous recurring and special guests. This includes actors, comedians, and musicians Adam Driver, Tiffany Haddish, Jenny Slate, Daveed Diggs, Max Greenfield, Toddrick Hall, Aparna Nancherla, and Matt Berninger (of The National). The Bob’s Burgers Music Album Vol. 2 will be released as a 2 CD set, a 3 LP regular version, and the deluxe limited-edition 3 LP gift box that will include ketchup, mustard and relish colored vinyl in a book-style jacket with die-cut pages shaped liked burger fixings, a hardbound lyric book with original Bob’s Burgers artwork, a softbound sheet music book, 2 sheets of colorforms with background scenes, 2 original posters, and more. For fans of the show, enjoying the music of Bob’s Burgers on its own is both an irresistible to-go bag and ultimately a world unto itself. Lose yourself in the strangely epic disco celebration “Hot Pants Rain Dance”, sing along with the musical theater gem, “The Wedding Is My Warzone,” or do whatever you’re gonna do to “Sexy Little Tiger” but don’t miss the Bob’s Burgers Music Album Vol. 2. Fans, your order is up.) 46.00
WILD BILLY CHILDISH & CTMF - Where The Purple Iris Grows LP (damaged goods - Billy Childish - musician, poet, painter and writer shows no sign of slowing down. The last twelve months have seen him record a “career in a year” with The William Loveday Intention, battle off a debilitating COVID infection and revisit his punk roots with CTMF.) 21.00
