MINOR THREAT - Out of Step Outtakes 7“ (discord - CLEAR VINYL In January 1983, Minor Threat went into Inner Ear Studio for the first time as a five-piece (Brian Baker had moved from bass to second guitar and Steve Hansgen was now playing bass). They had six new songs that would end up being the center piece of what became the Out of Step 12" EP.  The band had also decided to re-record the song "Out of Step" with some extra language to try to clarify the lyrics, as well as "Cashing In", a tongue-in-cheek song about the DC punk scene which they had only played live once.  After much debate, "Cashing In" was added as a hidden track on the original vinyl release though not listed on the cover or label. There was still blank tape on the reel, so they decided to record an instrumental with the working title, "Addams Family" and then recorded new versions of "In My Eyes" and "Filler" to hear what they sounded like with two guitars. "Addams Family" ended up being used as a coda to "Cashing In", but the other two songs were never mixed and largely forgotten for over 35 years until the multitrack tapes were taken into the studio to be digitized in 2021. Surprised by the discovery, Ian and Don Zientara mixed the two songs along with the complete take of "Addams Family". These outtakes are now being released on a 7" to mark the 40th anniversary of the release of Out of Step. ) 11.00

SENSOR GHOST - 3 Songs 7“ (Lovett - Sensor Ghost is an art-punk band from Washington, D.C. composed of Mike Andre, Amanda Huron, and Sam Lavine (formerly/also of Puff Pieces, Weed Tree, Light Beams, Antelope, and The Cornel West Theory). The band follows up its self-released cassette with a 3-song 7" split release record on Dischord/Lovitt Records, recorded with Don Zientara and Ian MacKaye at Inner Ear Studio.) 10.00

TEAM DRESCH - Your Hands My Pockets b/w Basket 7“ (OMGay, Team Dresch is releasing an actual NEW SONG! It's been 19 years since the band has released new material - 25 years since the making of Personal Best, when this particular configuration of players (Jody Bleyle, Donna Dresch, Kaia Wilson and Marcéo Martinez) recorded together. Your Hands My Pockets: Donna Dresch, in her typical Team Captain spirit, busts out riffs that are rife with her awesome signature grunge/punk/melodic catchiness, Jody and Kaia trade off on vocal duties like they're in some frantic singing relay race, and Marcéo slams the toms around like he learned to drum from both Mel Brown and bam-bam (please note, Marcéo actually took drum lessons from Mel Brown in the 80"s). While 'Your Hands' is an undeniable pop/punk song, it is also brimming with bristle and depth, conjuring feelings of longing, angst, desire. When Jody sings 'Oh I wanna want to be wrapped around, to wrap around' there is NO ONE who can't relate to this feeling of reaching out to one another for connection, touch, and love.) 12.00

AWAKEBUTSTILLINBED - what people call low self-esteem is really just seeing ... LP (tiny engines   For bands in San Jose, existence itself is a political act. With almost no venues at their disposal, and a culture dictated by billion dollar corporations, passion is the only option. Formed in 2017, awakebutstillinbed emerge from this environment screaming out for connection and meaning, their music a vivid rendering of a life spent standing on a precipice (Pitchfork). Absibs debut What People Call Low Self-Esteem Is Just Seeing Yourself The Way Others See You is an album about being crushed by expectations, and loaded with other peoples desires. It is untamable, and undeniable. What began as the solo project of singer/guitarist Shannon Taylor, absib are now a powerful group, part At the Drive-In, part Kim Shattuck, and (at times) part pre-Good News Modest Mouse. Explosive and honest, Taylors lyrics painfully, purposefully tear out the false seams and sutures that shape us in the eyes of others, revealing underneath the beautiful, beating heart if whatever it is we call the self. On paper, it might sound like familiar territory for emo, but don't be fooled: absib map out whole areas of the soul previously pushed to the shadows. Plus, they fucking rock.) 28.00

BAL PARE - Best of Bal Pare 1982 – 2016 LP (young and cold - Bal Paré are a legendary German 'NDW [Neue Deutsche Welle]/Minimal Synthpop'-act from Hamburg, Germany - founded in 1980. They have released two classic albums in 1982 and 1986, and later re-united for two more albums on the tiny German Minimal Electro Label NLW in 2013 and 2014. This compilation presents 12 of the best tracks, from the 'classic' (early) period of the band 1982-1986. A journalist on their legendary debut of 1982: "Absolutely essential NDW album, with more than enough coolness to allow it to qualify as "Minimal Synth" too.") 25.00

BEN FROST - Scope Neglect LP (The album Scope Neglect (Ltd. LP) by Ben Frost is a captivating and thought-provoking musical journey that pushes the boundaries of sound and experimentation. Released by Mute, this limited edition LP showcases Frost's unique blend of electronic and ambient music, creating an immersive sonic experience for listeners. With a runtime of approximately 45 minutes, Scope Neglect takes listeners on a mesmerizing sonic adventure through its eight tracks. Each composition is meticulously crafted, combining intricate layers of sound with pulsating rhythms and haunting melodies. Frost's ability to create atmospheric landscapes is truly remarkable, as he effortlessly blends organic and synthetic elements to create a sense of otherworldliness.) 30.00

BEX BURCH - There Is Only Love And Fear LP (International anthem . Liner Notes by Emma Warren: On rare occasions, all the stars align. This is how it was when composer-musician and instrument-maker Bex Burch jumped into her car and drove eight hours across Europe to Utrecht in November 2021. “Mostly life isn’t like that,” she says. “We’re here to figure things out and struggle. But occasionally things just fall into place. Sometimes the world is magical.” The car trip began in Berlin, where she was living after a long stint in London, where she’d made her name in the layers that exist between jazz and improvised experimentalism. The journey ended at Le Guess Who? Festival and an invitation from International Anthem’s Alejandro Ayala. Or perhaps it ended in a ground floor studio in Chicago’s South Side with light streaming through a skylight onto her newly-finished wooden xylophone and a stream of musicians selected by International Anthem’s Scottie McNiece and Dave Vettraino. Or maybe, like a wave travelling across the ocean, the travels continued until Bex Burch finally finished editing thirty-two days of exceptionally tender improvised recording sessions into the forty gossamer minutes of this stunning debut solo record, which oscillates between modes of quiet open-heartedness and powerful expression.) 29.00

BLONDE REDHEAD - Sit Down for Dinner LP (Blonde Redhead return with ‘Sit Down for Dinner,’ their first album in nine years and debut for section1. Its title a nod to the often-sacred communal ritual of sharing a meal with those you love, this immersive, meticulously crafted album appropriately serves an expression of persistent togetherness, a testament to the unique internal logic Blonde Redhead have refined over their three-decade existence. Understated yet visceral melodies charge each song, creating a foil to lyrics about the inescapable struggles of adulthood: communication breakdown in enduring relationships, wondering which way to turn, holding onto your dreams. Ultimately, ‘Sit Down for Dinner’ lands as perhaps the strongest record in catalog that’s already as illustrious as it is varied.) 27.00

BRIGADE ROSSE - Werkschau 2008 – 2012 LP (young and cold - Limited Edition of strictly 200 copies on Black Vinyl. The German EBM/Minimal New Wave duo BRIGADE ROSSE released 2 albums (Plastic Frog Records) in 2009 and 2012, 2 7” Singles and a Live Tape (Disorder, 2011) – it was about time for a ‘Best of’, that compiles the most impressive tracks of these long deleted and impossibly to be found releases. Brigade Rosse were produced by Sven Wolff, of Patenbrigade: Wolff-fame.) 25.00

BULLITT - B Major LP (B-Core - Bullitt (Sant Feliu de Guixols) released their first album in 2008, 15 years later this B Major is their 5th studio album and they sound better than fucking ever.
With Santi García in charge of the recording and production, they continue to deliver their great mix of melodic punk rock, indie rock and power pop.) 15.00

DAISAKU KUME - Violent Cop O.S.T. LP (wrwtfw - WRWTFWW Records is thrilled to announce the official reissue of Daisaku Kume's original soundtrack for the highly acclaimed 1989 Japanese crime/drama movie Violent Cop. Available for the first time outside of Japan, the album comes in a limited edition of 500 copies worldwide with a 45 rpm cut providing full audio pleasure and an iconic record sleeve featuring the movie director and star: the one and only "Beat" Takeshi Kitano! Violent Cop marks Kitano's directorial debut - a gritty neo-noir in which he stars as a rogue detective fighting a sadistic crime syndicate, only to discover widespread internal corruption in the police force. Poetic, minimalistic, with a superb balance between small soothing moments of beauty and vertiginous sudden violence, the film spearheaded a superb international career for the multi-talented filmmaker, actor, and comedian, which includes works such as Sonatine, Hana-Bi, and Battle Royale. The release of the soundtrack on vinyl presents an excellent opportunity for fans to explore the musical underpinnings of one of Kitano's earliest creations.) 28.00

DESIRE - Escape DLP (Italians do it better - Desire shares Escape, their new album written and recorded in Los Angeles and Palm Springs, California. Inspired by the ultra-vivid world of 1970's giallo films, they wrote the soundtrack of their dreams using their favourite musical instruments: Minikorg, Jupiter 8, 909, Mellotron, Simmons Rhythm Modules, String Machine, a D-50 and Fender Rhodes. House music rhythms provide the canvas for girl group narratives and a children's choir to paint the picture. Throbbing synthwave and daytime drama soap operas all play into the colour pallet of the album. The lyrics are sung in English, French, and Korean, adding even more drama to the mix. Through it all, there is the optimism of true love's compass navigating us through all the chaos life has to offer.) 47.00

ENJI - Ulaan LP (squama - After the success of 2021’s Ursgal, Mongolian jazz singer Enji returns with her third album Ulaan. The line-up has grown in size with drummer Mariá Portugal and clarinettist Joana Queiroz from Brazil joining the band to create an invigorating blend of grounded Folk and brooding Jazz.) 26.00

FLIGHT MODE - The Three Times LP (tiny engine - The Three Times collects the first three EPs from Oslo, Norway's Flight Mode. Led by singer/songwriter Sjur Lyseid, each EP contains four songs referencing a year and place in Lyseid's life. It's a coming-of-age novel across an emo/punk rock trilogy of EPs. From youthful exuberance (TX, '98) to jaded indifference (Torshov, '05) to the overwhelming realities of life (Tøyen, ‘13)... Flight Mode presents twelve songs and The Three Times.) 30.00

FLOWERTOWN - Tourist Language LP (paisley shirt - Listening to the latest Flowertown collection you enter a new portal into their world. A blend of old-world romance and modern-day ephemera swirls together, beckoning you in. The music is romantic as a result of its intimate style, stripped back to only its essential components, both in terms of sound and imagery. The songs have a prismatic quality, with instruments echoing out, like refracted light shining on familiar scenes and bathing them in magic. The title track ‘Tourist Language’ is an especially good example, it speaks of “silent whispers, or some kind of words” and “the space in between what I see and what you mean”, there’s a lack of certainty that opens up a wide world of imagery and imagination. Both Karina and Mike have a strong musical signature which is marked indelibly through their separate projects, Cindy and Tony Jay. The two are merged in Flowertown to create a unique vision. The songs' narratives often involve two voices speaking from one perspective, taking turns to tell the story and creating a sense of secret community; sometimes it feels like a shared monologue, and other times a close conversation. There is space around the music on Tourist Language that elevates small details and allows strong emotions to come through, like in ‘Count to Nine’ when Karina says, “the night I pushed my luck you were there, you found my coat, you fixed my hair”, the narrative is simple and yet full of suggestion and tenderness. Flowertown present a duality, the music is both subtle and ornate, with songs that feel like memories, hazy but laced with specificities. Tourist Language is a collection that climbs higher up into the Flowertown landscape. Infinitely listenable beautifully crafted tunes, and cinematic stories of mysterious ceremonies and half glimpsed exchanges. - Natasha Bikkul ) 27.00

GLARING - Void LP (young and cold - GLARING is a good example of how the music world has changed in recent years. You no longer need a complete Band, Demo recordings that are sent out at great expense, a Record Company, a Studio, a Distributor, a Boking Agency, a Promotion Agency... Anna Nin from Bremen/NorthernGermany shows how it works with her project GLARING. In home recording, songs are continuously recorded, which is no problem with today's technical possibilities. These are then uploaded to various music platforms, promoted on Social Media and spread through word of mouth without any commercial companies in the background. At some point, Labels become aware, first small ones, which then release cassettes, then slightly bigger ones, which release a Vinyl Compilation of the previous songs, and at some point larger Record Companies, which then release a new album in the “classic” way. Of course it's not as easy as it sounds, but many bands in the Postpunk/Darkwave scene have developed this way in the last 10 years. But the most important thing is that the music is good, otherwise it's no use…) 24.00

JEFF ROSENSTOCK - Hellmode LP (polyvinyl - On Jeff Rosenstock’s new album, HELLMODE, the spontaneous DIY trailblazer returns with the most confident & cohesive album of his career. Recorded at EastWest Studios with Grammy nominated engineer Jack Shirley(Deafheaven, Joyce Manor) and captured live to tape in the same room where albums like Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere and Toxicity were recorded, HELLMODE finds Rosenstock holding nothing back. The studio’s infamous natural tones are juxtaposed with echo chambers used on Pet Sounds, calling to mind the mixture of despair and clear-eyed hope heard throughout the record. The album features massive pop gems like “FUTURE IS DUMB,” “DOUBT,” and “LIKED U BETTER,” as well as softer songs such as “HEALMODE,” showcasing an intimate, immediate sound. ) 27.00

J. McFARLANE'S REALITY GUEST - Whoopee LP (night school - From out of nowhere - if nowhere is the febrile, warped and twilit imagination of Julia McFarlane - comes Whoopee, the second album by J.McFarlane’s Reality Guest. Whoopee is an esoteric, kaleidoscopic movie in music form directed by Julia McFarlane and co-conspirator Thomas Kernot. Full of life, breakbeats and smokey vignettes on the fragile nature of interpersonal relationships, Whoopee is a stylistic evolution from everything McFarlane has done before. Surreal, beautiful in parts and replete with the aching wisdom McFarlane’s songwriting has always promised, this Reality Guest pulls back the curtain on a whole scene of naked truth. Recorded in Melbourne in bursts since the release of 2019’s Ta Da, Whoopee features a new sound palette and band member in Kernot. The duo dive deep into electronic pop tropes, mining digital synths, samples, breakbeats and deep bass grooves, largely dispensing with live instrumentation. If Ta Da took twists and turns with your expectations, offering a Dada-ist, monochromatic take on pop music, Whoopee is McFarlane’s subterranean love-sick pinks, reds, greens, purples and blues. Becoming something of a tradition, the album starts with an instrumental intro pilfered from a 90s’ spy film or cinema intro music, puffing up the listener for the heart-squeezing bathos of Full Stops. Over a bleary backdrop of walking bass lines, jazzinflected keys and smoked-out atmosphere, McFarlane’s poetry narrates the fragile state of a relationship: “You put a full stop where I thought there’d be a comma, I want the story to continue even with all the drama.” Over a palpable pain, the narrator is revelling in the drama of a relationship, addicted to tumult and heightened emotion) 26.00

KA'TZON LA'TEVACH - Void LP (la agonia - This is Ka’tzon La’tevach (Tel Aviv) second full lenght. This time is Gutzy from Not On Tour on drums, who make it more straight forward album. They still continue delivering some dark and slow parts but with a more hc/punk/dbeat approach. This is neocrust as its finest. You will love it if you are into His Hero Is Gone, Tragedy, Wolfbrigade or Ekkaia. ) 16.00

KOLYA - Kolya LP (Originally released by Caulfield Records in 2001, this is the long-awaited and recently remastered vinyl reissue of Kolya's only full length recording. "One of the few bands that brought that 90's sound in the early 00's and hearing that transition of post-hardcore. You can hear it a lot in this record. Much similar to Relationship Of Command or Full Collapse.") 35.00

KRALLICE - diotima DLP (gilead - The first four Krallice records have become critical pieces in the evolution of US extreme metal. After years out of print we are proud to once again repress these titles remastered with new and revised artwork. Each pressing is limited to 800 copies in a gatefold jacket, and each copy includes a download code to receive a digital download
of the remastered files. I decided to re-master the first four Krallice albums for the vinyl reissues. As a music fan, I'm suspicious of the term "re-mastered," because it usually means the new version will have more treble and more compression (i.e. "louder") than the original, even when those treatments negatively affect the sound. It is important for music makers and music consumers both to understand that loudness is not an inherent quality of sound recordings; it's always relative and ultimately at the discretion of the listener. A heavily compressed ("loud") album can still be listened to quietly. Understanding this has freed me from the psychological insecurities of considering comparative loudness and has allowed me to make decisions that only improve sound when mastering.) 36.00

MESSA - Close DLP (svart - Messa’s rising trajectory hits the stratosphere on their immense new album “Close”. Soaring up out of the Italian Doom Rock underground in 2014, Messa have been rapidly garnering a frenzied throng of devotees, in thrall to their monumental and broad-ranging sound craft. Releasing two widely celebrated cult records, the latest of which “Feast For Water” in 2018 was a critical breakthrough success, with Rolling Stone calling the whole album “captivating, wringing maximum drama out of its savvy stylistic clash,” Messa have had everyone on tenterhooks, waiting for what was next. New album “Close” draws us further into Messa’s spellbinding textures and immersive dynamics. Described as “Stevie Nicks fronting Black Sabbath,” singer Sara’s colossal voice omnipotently carries the listener on an emotional rollercoaster ride where the sonic cauldron of Iommi guitars gives way to Arabian oudh and progressive solos in a masterful style-clash that well befits Messa’s incendiary reputation.) 35.00

MOHAMMAD SYFKHAN - I Am Kurdish LP (nyahh - Mohammad Syfkhan is a Kurdish/Syrian Singer and Bouzouki player. He began playing music in 1980 while he was in college studying nursing. When he got his degree in 1983, Mohammad moved to the city of Raqqa, Syria where he began working as a professional singer and started his own band, The Al-Rabie Band which played concerts, parties, weddings and festivals all over Syria. The Al-Rabie Band were a much sought-after group. Their live sets included Kurdish, Arabic, Turkish and some Western songs as well as Mohammad’s own original material.) 26.00

NATALIA BEYLIS - Mermaids LP (touch sensitive  -'It was a rainy day at the recycling centre in Leitrim. There, amongst the tangle of discarded kettles and broken down toasters, I first laid eyes on her: a CRB Elettronica Ancona - Model: Diamond 708 E Electric Keyboard. She waited, resolved to her fate of slowly oxidizing in the drizzle before being crumpled into the back of a lorry heading for the landfill. Or maybe, she waited, knowing I would come. I smuggled her into the back of my van and brought her home. For years, she sat untouched in the corner of my studio. Until one day when I finally plugged her in and she came alive with an unpredictable rattle. I took her apart and inside I found three broken purple crayons broken into nine pieces. With the crayons excavated, she sounded perfect. To me anyway.  The sounds that come from her when I play always move me like water: swimming in rivers and floating in the murk beneath the surface. When I found the cover picture of the three figures in a stack of old family photos, a confluence of the sounds and the image charged through me and the album Mermaids began to flicker into being.' All songs written and performed by Natalia Beylis.) 25.00

THE NECKS - Travel DLP (northern spy - Travel, the 19th studio album by Australian improvisational trio The Necks, documents their recent practice of starting each day in the studio with a 20-minute trio improvisation. The recordings offer some of their most ecstatic and captivating music cut to tape. As bassist Lloyd Swanton puts it: “It’s a really nice communal activity to bring us together in focus each day, and some lovely music has resulted from it.” Although a straight “live” improvisation has never been recorded in the studio by the band, these tracks (save for some light overdubs/post-production) feel closest to what they’ve been doing live for more than 30 years now. In 2017 Stephen O’Malley’s Ideologic Organ label released the band’s lauded Unfold, which first offered up this uncharacteristic studio work: four sub-20-minute pieces - instead of the typical 60+ minute arc for which the band is known - along with an obfuscated track list which leaves play order to the listener’s hand. The album quickly sold out, and persists as a treasure in collections or as a high-priced ‘Want’ on Discogs. Travel marks a return to this double-LP format, offered in a beautiful gatefold package that features photography by Traianos Pakioufakis and impeccable mastering by Doug Henderson.) 37.00

PETTER ALATALO - Dumskallarnas vind LP (supertradtional - Petter Alatalo releases the debut album "Dumskallarnas vind" on the label Supertraditional (Sara Parkman, Merit Hemmingson and others). The songs were recorded at the Swedish Grammophon Studio in Gothenburg, together with Kalle Nyman (double bass), Nikolai Äystö (winds) and Markus Larsson (drums). The music is intense, sad, aggressive and velvety with fine arrangements and fragile lyrics that quickly draw the listener in.) 30.00

SHIT & SHINE - Joy Of Joys LP (Craig Clouse has devoted the past several decades to exploring a wide range of avant-garde avenues for his brainchild Shit & Shine. The monolithic riffs of raw and powerful psych'n'roll hysteria, the freeform dance miasma, sub-heavy electronica and the blissful stupidity crafted for ecstatic ascension: all perfectly-placed in the idiosyncratic world of Shit & Shine. There's also fertile soil for twisted noises in their lowest form, often obscured by groovier comrades in S&S releases yet vitally important for the substance of Clouse's compositional carcass and OOH-sounds has given him the required space to stretch out his longtime interest in developing loose structures and crackling landscapes to transcend his rhythmic comfort zone. Making an enthusiastic transgression into noisy tones, "Joy Of Joys" has a friendly way of presenting difficult material. The rough and ready cheapo electronics sparkle in full electrifying mode, welding an ascetic gamut of aural hypnotics with a wormhole of uncompromising loop brut. Clanks, bangs, twangs and creeping, ragged globs of sound bloom on the bones of repetition to focus on the swinging stream of dirty anarchy. Stepping out of any context and genre disciplines, S&S finds new sonic trajectories in "Joy Of Joys" which perfectly sit in-between a wobbly cabal of international sub-underground acts: the idiot-avant strategies of LAFMS, early Mego bad digitalia, no-brow enthusiasm of Wolf Eyes family, micro-DIY ethos of Chocolate Monk and the sheer hellish nonsense of US noise circa ‚00s.) 26.00

SIX ORGANS OF ADMITTANCE - The Veiled Sea LP (three loved - I sometimes think of Ben Chasny as an occultist of the old school. For all the searing acetylene fire and noise that courses through his work as Six Organs of Admittance, there is something curiously late Victorian about the way his mind operates. For Chasny belongs to the lineage of seekers who, in the face of the fragmenting forms of knowledge in the modern world, held out the last hopes of synthesis: that art might not be parted from religion, nor religion from science—and that science, in some way dimly understood, might still partake of the magical. In both music and conversation, Chasny relentlessly pursues connection, the way this is related to that, the way that recapitulates something else. For a man who has made such singularly original music for the past twenty years, Chasny seems to love mapping the circuits of influence and inspiration that traverse his body of work. (The song titles on Six Organs records often function like a faded card catalog to the library of his mind.) As if the beauty of his music resided in its uniqueness, but the wisdom of if it was to be found in its correspondence with a vast world of visionary discernment down the ages. ) 28.00

SUSS - High Line LP (northern spy - 'High Line' explores the horizon line where the cosmic meets the landscape of the American West. Drawing on influences such as Ry Cooder and Bruce Langhorne while forging new paths alongside fellow travelers like Daniel Lanois and Boards of Canada, SUSS uses a combination of acoustic guitars, pedal steel, harmonica, mandolin and synthesized sound manipulation to take the listener on a blissful and mythic trip into the unknown.) 30.00

TAKASHI MASUBUCHI, AYAMI SUZUKI, TOMO – Suikyo LP (an’archives - Edition of 315 copies, silkscreened sleeve w/ obi, postcard, insert - The latest release on An’archives, Suikyō, documents a first-time meeting between three Japanese improvisers: Takashi Masubuchi on guitar and harmonica; Ayami Suzuki on voice and electronics; and Tomo on hurdy-gurdy. Recorded at Permian on the 29th of January, 2023, it’s a stunning, forty-minute long improvisation of rare artistic sympathy. Notably, it was the first time the trio had performed together, though Masubuchi and Suzuki have prior form as a duo; on the evening itself, the trio performance was preceded by solo sets from Suzuki and Tomo, which served as a kind of introduction, of sorts, to the broader aesthetic visions of two of the musicians on Suikyō. Masubuchi, Suzuki and Tomo make for a fascinating trio, not only due to the shared musical sympathy that’s clear from their performance, but also due to their histories, and the way these dovetail on the music you hear on Suikyō. Masubuchi has recorded a number of stunning solo albums for guitar and has also improvised with a number of musicians: you can hear his responsiveness and thoughtful playing on albums alongside Suzuki, Taku Sugimoto, Straytone, Shizuo Uchida, Takahiro Kawaguchi, and more. Suzuki’s work for voice has been documented on several solo cassette releases, and in consort with Tetuzi Akiyama, Rob Noyes, Leo Okagawa, Aidan Baker and Tobias Humble. And Tomo’s music can be heard on a small clutch of solo CDs, as a member of Tetragrammaton and Archeus, and in collaboration with Junzo Suzuki.) 35.00

TANO! - Intanostellar LP (la agonia - Tano!’s third album is finally here! They are an experimetal posthardcore band from Girona, living the concept of writing songs with the motto “let’s put something here which no one would expect next”. Eleven songs recorded live and mixed by Santi Garcia and at Ultramarinos Costa Brava, mastered by Victor Garcia and wrapped up with Xavi Forné’s artwork (Error! Design).) 16.00

TERVEET KÄDET - Kaikki Kaikkia Vastaan LP (svart. Terveet Kädet, established by Läjä Äijälä, called it quits in 2016 after nearly four decades of being active, but luckily opinions change and decisions can also be unmade. Svart Records are proud to release the band’s new album Kaikki kaikkia vastaan (translates to All against all) on March 3rd, 2023. According to Äijälä the comeback has been brewing in the back of his head for a long time now. After some gigs with the newly resurrected band the new songs began to pop up little by little. Kaikki kaikkia vastaan is a brutal album. It combines elements of metal from the band’s alter ego Lapin Helvetti and the more traditional explosive thrash and hardcore of TK. The album’s themes and lyrics deal with dark and twisted topics of modern society.) 25.00

VEMOD - Venter Pa Stormene LP (prophecy - Vemod from Trondheim, Norway are one of the most promising and visionary bands in today's flourishing, eclectic metal underground and have already stirred up a lot of dust among those in the know. With their fusion of such diverse influences as those of Ulver, Dead Can Dance, Brian Eno and Paysage d'Hiver, the three musicians pursue a unique musical and aesthetic approach that gives them their very own expression and atmosphere early on in their career. Vemod's debut "Venter På Stormene" (English: "waiting for the storms") was originally released in 2012 and is now being re-released more widely by Prophecy Productions. The album, consisting of the two parts "Over jord, vandrende" ("wandering over the earth") and "Over himmel, flammende" ("burning in the sky"), is intended to be understood as a two-part manifestation of inner movements and a rising star, as a reflection of the “holy again”. The union of darkly ethereal metal with atmospheric ambient soundscapes celebrates and cultivates Vemod's essence within the framework of profound feelings: the result of years of slow but steady maturation and a bridge to the future. Behind the sun and moon we are reborn.) 30.00

VOYVODA - Autochthonous LP (ugly and proud - Hailing from Sofia, in the heart of the Balkans, this DIY post-punk ensemble has become synonymous with their own brand of cultural defiance. Their soundscape—a fusion of chilling, dark atmospherics, spirited punk zest, and a distinctive experimental edge—breaks free from stereotypical musical conventions, uniting diverse audiences in a shared experience. Voyvoda are back with a new album! Pressing info: 100 copies on black vinyl.) 20.00

YAPHET KOTTO - The Killer Was In The Government Blankets LP (la agony - Originally released by Ebullition Records in 1999. First press on vinyl since the original one! Yaphet Kotto were from Santa Cruz (California) and were active from 1996 to 2005. They were involved in the flourishing US scene of bands that started to mix emo with screamy hc/punk in the mid 90s and that kinda created the 'screamo" term. While many of them had some kind of arty vibe, Yaphet Kotto were the more sociopolitical side of it. Ebullition released their full albums and both have gotten well reconigtion as one of the labels and bands that more helped to develope that sound and scene. Personally are one of my favourite bands of the genre. It's also probably one of the most imitated. Along the years that high tone melodic vocals mixed with the desperate screamings, that political approach, the raw production...still sounds great and different to me. This is a vinyl reissue of their first album from 1999. A fucking classic) 21.00

TAPES

BIKINI KILL - Reject All American TAPE (BIKINI KILL's final studio album originally released in 1996 on Kill Rock Stars. With three years since their last album, Pussy Whipped, and only a few 7-inch singles in the meantime, Bikini Kill had loads of time to become a band that stands on its own merits. Reject All American, their 1996 sophomore release, reveals a refined punk band with increased clarity, verified competence, and expanded range. While the band's heart still lies in the sneering brat punk of the Sex Pistols or X-Ray Spex--heard here on thrilling two-minute slices of attitude like "Capri Pants" and "Statement of Vindication"--the band also gives a go at airy alt rock (bassist Kathi Wilcox's jangly "False Start"), classic new wave pop (the title track's Go-Go's chorus), and even drops a trumpet and xylophone into the mix. Still, it's Kathleen Hanna's words and vocals that have matured most and remain the band's primary strength. It's enough to make you proud: Just look at how our little grrrl has grown. --Roni Sarig) 15.00

CD

THE NECKS - Travel CD (northern spy - Travel, the 19th studio album by Australian improvisational trio The Necks, documents their recent practice of starting each day in the studio with a 20-minute trio improvisation. Travel marks a return to this double-LP format, offered in a beautiful gatefold package that features photography by Traianos Pakioufakis and impeccable mastering by Doug Henderson.) 20.00

V/A - A Collection of Songs in the Traditional & Sean-Nós Style CD (nyahh - Nyahh Records is proud and excited to announce this compilation of singers, which has been on the back boiler for some time!! Inspired by the song collecting of Alan Lomax, this compilation brings together two generations of singers from all across the island of Ireland. Some of the songs previously appear on albums, but the rest were recorded by the singer themselves on their phones to give the song a real and raw effect that brings an authentic feel and immediacy to the songs. A long standing tradition in Irish culture, singing has taken place in pubs and private homes all over the country since the 13th Century and has been away to share and keep the music alive, passing it down to younger generations. It is considered to be an aural tradition, as a lot of these songs would of not been written down. Nyahh is honoured to be able to present this collection of songs to you from some of Ireland’s best singers.) 16.00

V/A - Under the Island: Experimental Music in Ireland 1960 - 1994 CD (nyahh - After two years of digging, hunting, unearthing archives, digitising and a lot of correspondence, Nyahh Records is very excited to finally be announcing the release of ‘Under the Island: A Compilation of Experimental Music in Ireland 1960 – 1994’. Ireland, a country known mostly in the pop music arena for U2, Thin Lizzy, Stiff Little Fingers et al and of course, the Show Band era of the 60s’ to the present, the country is not known for producing a lot of ‘cutting edge, Avant Garde music. A few very influential bands did get out such as Doctor Strangley Strange (1967 – 1971), Mellow Candle (1965 - 1973), Princess Tinymeat (1984 – 1987) and the Virgin Prunes (1977 – 1991). A strange bunch for sure, and where would we be without them. But, further down underground there were a few artists working away in their bedrooms and non-studio settings experimenting with tapes and handmade instruments. Here for the first time is a collection of these artists and their work. Sounds that had been left in boxes on tape or cassette have now been cleaned up and presented together in a collection spanning over four decades.) 16.00

IAN SVENONIUS - Against The Written Word Book (Against the Written Word is the most important, most revolutionary book produced since the advent of the printing press; the book that will liberate readers from reading, writers from writing, and booksellers from peddling their despicable wares. This book ushers in a new era of freedom from reading and all its attendant bedfellows such as Enlightenment thinking and the mass alienation wrought by the phonetic alphabet. Against the Written Word will be a tremendous best seller and simultaneously the last book that anyone will read.) 20.00

SHAWNA KENNEY - All Access Bands On Film BOOK (Limited to 100 hand numbered copies. Band photography by Shawna Kenney from 1989-2001. "I've always been a writer but sometimes had to be a photographer when covering bands for magazines and newspapers. All images were photographed by me on 35 mm film, most of which I hand-developed and printed when I could in the 90s. Digitization has allowed me to see more of what I’ve been dragging around in boxes—evidence of many years in dark night clubs—on stage, in a photo pit, or hanging out with friends in bands before and after the show. Here are glimpses of how I spent my 20s and 30s. Enjoy!" - Shawna) 26.00
