GRAF ORLOCK - End Credits 7“ (vitriol - In explaining End Credits, the band says: “This record specifically focuses on the apocalypse. Given it will be the last release, it looks like a script that has caught on fire. Songs/films covered in this are Snowpiercer, Children Of Men, Mad Max, Dredd, and Waterworld. Although there seems like a proliferation of post-apocalypse or dystopian films in light of the last couple of years, all of these songs/films/lyrics predate COVID. On top of that, in the style of how the songs/lyrics are put together, typical Jason and Kyle are representing different characters in any given script, transferred into song lyrics.”) 12.00

GRAF ORLOCK - Doombox 10" + CD (vitriol - RED VINYL - Reissue of a 6-track EP from Southern California's Graf Orlock, recommended to anyone into fast and tight HC/grindcore. The included CD contains 'Doombox' plus the band's 'Destination Time' trilogy, compiling 42 tracks of their 2011-2014 output, all packaged in a fold out boombox measuring 30x10x6 inch. The line-up features members of Greyskull, Arctic Choke, Ghostlimb, and Dangers. Alright. Finally this piece of shit is out, featuring a 10" worth of new material based on the complexities of urban disparity, and a cd containing the Doombox 10" songs plus the last three trilogy records. This, I shit you not, is 42 songs of Gorlock madness spanning the last 4 years of mindless wandering through the cinemagrind ether. If you care to look at the image, this comes in a handsome foldout boombox, completing a new staple to your bedroom feng shui, and guaranteeing that you misunderstand what this thing will really look like.) 30.00

AFRICAN HEAD CHARGE - A Trip To Bolgatanga LP (On U Sound - The legendary collaboration between master percussionist Bonjo Iyabinghi Noah and producer Adrian Sherwood return with their first new studio album in twelve years. Originally conceived in 1981 as an attempt to make Brian Eno’s “vision of a psychedelic Africa” exist in musical form, the project has evolved and mutated over the years but all the hallmarks of their classic sound are present and correct on this record: hypnotic hand drums driving rhythms to move your head and feet; coupled with mind-bending arrangements and dubwise production. Inimitable guest vocals by the award winning Ghanaian kologo master, King Ayisoba lend an extra dimension. ) 27.00
BLACK DUCK - s/t LP (thrill jockey - Black Duck brings together three pillars of the Chicago music community: guitarist/bassist Douglas McCombs, guitarist Bill MacKay and drummer Charles Rumback. MacKay began releasing records in the early 2000s. He has released several acclaimed solo albums with Drag City as well as a duo album each with Nathan Bowles (Banjo, Black Twig Pickers), and Katinka Kleijn (Cello, Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO)), and two beloved records with Ryley Walker. An excellent guitar player, MacKay has performed with McCombs many times in various groups including guest stints in Eleventh Dream Day. Charles Rumback burst onto the fertile Chicago improvised music scene in the early 2000’s. His fluid technique and expressive playing garnered him much attention. Rumback and MacKay met at Roosevelt University and hit it off immediately, performing and recording together in various ensembles. Rumback too caught the attention of Ryley Walker, culminating in a series of duo albums and has also recorded with the Chicago pianist and legend Jim Baker, releasing several albums that featured Ron Miles, Greg Ward and James Singleton. Douglas McCombs is a founding member of Tortoise, Pullman, Brokeback as well as the long standing bassist for Eleventh Dream Day, an artist whose contribution to the music world can not be overstated. In the short time the trio have played together, they have performed at Big Ears Festival and alongside acts like Yo La Tengo. The trio’s self-titled debut album Black Duck harnesses each player’s capacity for poignant songwriting and improvisational exploration in pieces as far-reaching as they are arresting.) 30.00
DEATH INDEX - Civilized By A Lie LP (2 mondi - Death Index is a union of fringe punk experiments by Carson Cox (Merchandise, Neon Bluid, Romeo Blu) and Marco Rapisarda (Psico Galera, La Piovra, Smart Cops). The band's creative conscience ranges extensively, from industrial to pop, from Crass Records to Wax Trax!, from modern to primitive. ‘Civilized By A Lie’ is the culmination of the group both defining and rejecting traditional notions of the what you expect of rock’n’roll. In today’s world, influence comes at the viewer from all angles, beyond music, from science, art, culture, and societal decay. This album is a reflection of that. The writing and recording process of ‘Civilized by A Lie’ started in 2016 after touring the first DEATH INDEX album, released by Deathwish Inc.. In the studio with producer par excellence Maurizio Baggio (Boy Harsher, The Soft Moon, Merchandise), they began, unbeknownst to them, what would be a 6-year process of writing and recording. Following on from a few days of playing guitars and drums, the band brought in pieces of metal and iron sheets from the construction site across from the studio and began layering the songs with non-musical implements, which you can hear in the final versions of songs like “Ego-Dance” and “D.O.G [Delusions of Grandeur].” adding a blistering element of modern industrial material. These tracks would be an important foundation to the process to follow.) 22.00
ENTER THE GRAVE - s/t LP (hasiok - Enter The Grave bringing 5 songs of atmospheric crust written and recorded during covid realities in between lockdowns and restrictions of the past two years. EX-DOM - s/t LP (hasiok - Fierce and raging hardcore punk from Bremen (Germoney) featuring a motley crew of punks from Bogotá (Columbia) as well as some Bremen local looser (and boozers) who, with their combined punk powers, produced a range of full on and in your face punk rock smashers with a golden "Tuppa Tuppa Sello" ("Ufta, Ufta Siegel") and a roaring mix of classic Columbian Punk meets snotty blunt 80'ties Deutsch-Punk... sounds crazy? Oh yes please! This album contains both Demo Tapes. The 2021 "Extincion de Dominio" and the 2022 "Zwangsvollstreckung" Tape on Abfall Records. Both have been sold out immediately ) 17.00

GRAF ORLOCK - An Examination of Violent Cinema Vol 1. LP (vitriol - Comes in a die-cut fully glued jacket with autopsy information and black bodybag polybag. European preorder color is Piss Yellow out of 150, American preorder colors in Predator Blood neon green, original black vinyl. Pressing out of 1000 total —An Examination of Violent Cinema Vol 1. was written and recorded in January 2018 in the midst of a snowed in 5-day lock down in the nether regions of a frigid North Carolinian winter. In the course of those vapid 120 hours, twelve songs emerged as testament to the rigor mortis of the vapid film industry and the thoroughly pedestrian worldview of hardcore. Taking inspiration from the cinema’s previous twelve months, Examination finds Graf Orlock in fine classic form; bizarre ideas haphazardly laid over even more pointlessly confrontational lyrical content. Contained therein is not only commentary on the weak and prosaic state of the last decades endlessly recycled and not-nearly-violent-enough releases, but also the question of how one could even contemplate the creation of “art” in a landscape so devoid of vision. If there will never again be the singularity of almost politicism and almost social commentary that was the beauty of 1987’s Predator, should we continue to push this same human sized ball of celluloid and shit interminably up the same hill? One could argue the irrationality of routinely ignoring empirical evidence would place us somewhere in the classification of “idiot”, “moron”, or in the formerly credible status of “imbecile”. This seems to apply in all regards to the difficult and confusing milieu we all currently inhabit. This is a study of those questions, through the ill-refined, gross, and frankly annoying lens of cinema-grind, a term some never seemed to notice we created ourselves to mock ourselves. Years on Graf Orlock still manages to confuse people either by motive or aim, and this hopefully continues that trajectory. In the fog of this shit-steam, the point remains clear-ish that perhaps the purpose here is to make something different out of the street refuse, the D-list VHS, or the synthetic and ironic world of the action movie. At its most reduced, perhaps it’s a pastiche of our heinously embarrassing cultural aspects, or at its best a critique of the past that attempts to look forward into a totally bleak future. As Benjamin said “Mechanical reproduction of a work of art . . . represents something new.” Who knows, but in order to find anything of value one must delve headlong into the breach (or torso in this case) and rip the innards out and see what can be salvaged.) 17.00
HORACIO CHIVO BORRARO - Blues Para Un Cosmonauta LP (altercar - Fans of Coltrane will certainly dig this historical 1970s spiritual jazz album from Argentina which left an everlasting imprint in the local jazz scene. From the eerie "Blues para un cosmonauta" —which could easily fit in the Twin Peaks soundtrack—, to the majestic "Líneas Torcidas" or the mid-tempo groove of "Mi amigo Tarzán", new landscapes in jazz are explored without hiding, at moments, the musicians' bebop pedigree. Venturing into uncharted dimensions, the album breaks with traditionalism and combines jazz and new electronic instruments into a contemporary concept that is both cosmic and sensual, a sound where timbre and space play a crucial role. Here, no track sounds like the other. The charismatic, multifaceted saxophone player Horacio "Chivo" Borraro is joined here most notably by Fernando Gelbard —who pioneered electronic keyboards and analog synths in Argentina, playing here Fender Rhodes and Minimoog— and Brazilian musician Stenio Mendes —who plays the 12-string craviola and contributes two tracks. Jorge González on bass and Néstor Astarita on drums —both part of Gato Barbieri's rhythm section in the early 60s— and Chino Rossi —responsible for much of the unusual percussion and special effects that give the album its unprejudiced aura— complete the line-up of Blues para un Cosmonauta.) 26.00
JOHN FRUSCIANTE - The Will To Death LP (2023 Vinyl Reissue Of The Will To Death. The Will To Death was first released on June 22, 2004. Frusciante had previously announced that in 2004 he would produce six albums during a six month break from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Will to Death being the first of these. Following the long and costly recording of his previous album, Shadows Collide With People, Frusciante decided to experiment with recording music quickly and in a minimalist fashion, doing a maximum of two takes per track.) 35.00
JOHN FRUSCIANTE & JOSH KLINGHOFFER - A Sphere In The Heart Of Silence LP (record collection - 2023 Vinyl Reissue. A Sphere In The Heart Of Silence is the fifth album in a series of six solo efforts that John Frusciante undertook from June 2004 to February 2005. It is an album of mostly electronica based material, and was a joint collaboration between John Frusciante and Josh Klinghoffer.) 35.00
JULIE BYRNE - The Greater Wings LP (ghostly - The first album in over six years from American songwriter Julie Byrne is a testament to patience and determination, the willingness to transform through the desolation of loss, the vitality of renewal, and the courage to rise, forever changed. For nearly a decade, Byrne has moved through the world as a characteristically private artist largely outside the public eye. A self-taught musician that has committed her life to her work, she now emerges from a deeply trying and generative period with the most powerful, lustrous, and life-affirming music of her career, The Greater Wings. While they hold the plasticity of grief and trauma, the songs are universally resonant, unbridled in their devotion and joy, held up by the love and alliance of a chosen family. Byrne leans further into atmospheres both expansive and intimate; the lush, evocative songcraft flows between her signature fingerpicked guitar, synthesizer, and a newly adopted piano, made wider by flourishes of harp and strings. It is the transcendent sound of resource, of friendship that was never without romance, of loyalty that burns from within like a heart on fire, and the life force summoned in unrepeatable moments — raw, gorgeous, and wild.) 27.00
KASSHUVE - Dummedagen Kommer LP (After a great 7" in 2020 on Adult Crash, here comes the first longplayer by KASSHUVE from Malmö/Sweden, a collaboration between Kink Records, La Familia Releases and Metadona Records. On the record there are 11x fast and angry in-your-face Hardcore-Punk attacks that takes no prisoners. Straight forward, always in full swing and with a clear 80s Scandinavian touch, the record bangs from the first to the last minute. The record comes housed in a 350g cover, 4-page LP-size lyric sheet with lots of great drawings by singer Erik, plus an additional poster.) 15.00
KNIFE CLUB - Our Club, Our Rules LP (Punk 'super group', Knife Club return with their second studio album, "Our Club, Our Rules". The band features members of Nosebleed, Haest, Casual Nausea, Revenge Of The Psychotronic Man, and Matilda’s Scoundrels, and are based in Manchester, Leeds, Hastings, and Ipswich, which is quite frankly ridiculous. The new album features 11 tracks of catchy punk, with more personal lyrical themes, such as mental health, depression, addiction, and female visibility in society. Mark Tanner has now joined full-time on bass guitar and Kim Morey has joined on keytar and vocals. The addition of keys has driven the melodies on several of the songs. This is an album where the band has really found their sound.

LAURE BOER - Les Cités Englouties LP (Kashual plastic - Comes like every Kashual Plastik release in a weird packaging. Laure Boer is Kashual again. And not so Plastik. Zoning dark-ish into her inner realms of journey music. Poetic, psychic, reflective, ejective. She sings. Weeps. Speaks. Intimate looping narratives, celebrating personal glories and all those worries. Stylistically alternating from electroacoustic dimensions to drone guitar amp personas, from folk melodiousness to witchy avant-notes. Ten drifters for the Lomaxed creatures, earthbound, and always up there in the luminaries. Music that rubs off on the now, that loses itself in itself, always remaining welcoming. Contemporary folk for folks without country. Echoing endlessly scenic. Longing for roots minus rooting. The voice is the home. In every noise. In every chord, loop, reverberation. A humming along record. Shredded. Edgy. With a sense for radical pain. Noisy anthems in the sky. Traditional, freshly packaged, and forward-thinking folkloric. A true album of soul. Composed. Improvised. Realized. A poem without ink. Dim times. The sun shines. We hum along to “Les Cités Englouties”, transporting echoes from sunken cities and their legends. Archaic ballads, dialoging with raconteurs from centuries past, broadcasting archetypal tales, and airy mythology of the living that fall into life. All transmitted in a meaningful sphere - even if neither the sender nor the receiver can articulate, what that meaning might be.) 26.00
MELVINS - Tres Cabrones LP (ipecac - Vinyl reissue of the band's 2013 release featuring their 1983 lineup. First time ever available on vinyl. The Melvins are one of modern music's most influential bands. Having formed in 1983 Montesano, Washington, the group founded by singer/guitar player Buzz Osborne (with stalwart drummer Dale Crover joining the following year), has been credited with merging the worlds of punk rock and heavy music, forming a new subgenre all its own. 2013's Tres Cabrones, featuring their 1983 lineup with original drummer Mike Dillard and current drummer Dale Crover playing bass, available on vinyl for the first time on colored LP with an accompanying booklet which includes all new liner notes.) 32.00
MIKE KITCHER - Processed Snippets: Congo Traditional 1952 & 1957 LP (care of editions - “Processed Snippets” falls firmly into the category of new exotica, a music created from a specific location that becomes placeless through abstraction. Mike Kitcher reworks moments recorded from the SWP re-mastered release of Congo Traditional 1952 & 1957, a collection of recordings by Hugh Tracey. Tracey, a pioneering documenter of traditional music across the continent of Africa was notable for the extent of his travels and the breadth of his work, as well as his technique of live mixing multi-instrumental tracks with a hand-held microphone. This method produces tracks that focus on specific instruments with a shifting of foreground and background. In his work he aimed to reflect the listening experience in the field. Kitcher’s album reflects on Tracey’s process by focusing each track on a limited sample and using basic EQing alongside only one software processor: IRCAM’s “the scrub.” He foreshortens the landscape, by zooming in onto moments of breath, the moment of the release of contact from the instrument, bursts of silence or processed modifications that transform vocals into the echo of ivory horns. Within this magnified view, the richness of the original material is turned over and seen from an array of angles. Kitcher notes that “inflections, harmony, expression and pulsing modulations all grab my attention, frequently expressed through voice, conical drums, luma pipes or lamellaphones, among other instruments….”.) 14.00
NANA VASCONCELOS- Africadeus LP (alter cat - Spiritual, intimate and revolutionary, yet firmly rooted in Brazil's folklore. Africadeus was the breakthrough album of the mighty Naná Vasconcelos, in which he discovered the berimbau to the world and took the instrument to a universal level. Having played in the shadows for other artists such as Milton Nascimento, Gato Barbieri or Som Imaginario, Naná is here finally in the spotlight. Recorded in 1973 in France for Pierre Barouh's Saravah label, this is the album that definitely imprinted Naná's name in the international scene, on his track to becoming one of the best percussionists of all times.) 26.00
NANA, NELSON ANGELO, NOVELLI - Naná, Nelson Angelo, Novelli LP (altercar - In this real tour de force of Brazilian creativity, Naná is joined by his friends Nelson Angelo and Novelli to create one of the greatest Brazilian albums ever recorded outside of Brazil. The three musicians grasp here for the kind of musical freedom that could then only be achieved outside of Brazil. A boundary-pushing experimentation that makes your soul flow and is to be enjoyed at large. Recorded in 1975 and released in Pierre Barouh's label Saravah. Artwork by the great Belgian artist Jean-Michel Folon.) 26.00
NGOZI FAMILY - Day Of Judgement LP (now again -Proto-punk and garage Zamrock: the celebrated guitarist Paul Ngozi’s essential debut album. Featuring Chrissy Zebby Tembo. Guitarist/vocalist Paul Ngozi’s debut album – under the name Ngozi Family - is an important record: not just in the Zamrock genre, but in the global rock canon. Day of Judgement is an introduction to the most intense, raw and inimitable golden era Zamrock recorded, as it paved the way for a dozen Paul Ngozi and Ngozi Family releases (the most famous being drummer Chrissy Zebby Tembo’s My Ancestors) that straddled the line between funk and punk, of driving hard rock and Zambian folk melodies and rhythms. Day of Judgement was released in 1976, the same year as other, now famous, Zamrock albums, from WITCH’s Lazy Bones!! to Rikki Ililonga’s Zambia. But it sounds like none of its counterparts. Part of that stems from its frenzied primitivism, the Ngozi 5 Family’s attempt to overcome a lack of musical acumen with sheer force of will. That will allowed Paul Ngozi to overcome a humble upbringing to become the most unlikely combination: Zamrock’s most beloved star in its brief but now-well chronicled arc; the only musician to maintain his fame and recording prowess in the dark ages of the ’80s; an inspiration to not only aging but young Zambians — and now others, beyond Zambia’s borders. But one cannot imagine Paul Ngozi without this album, a full-on aural assault that sounds as wild nearly forty years after its release as it must have sounded in the developing Zamrock landscape from which it emerged. We listen to this anachronistic yet prescient album now as a wholly original, completely unpredictable album in line with those from mavericks from across the world – from the Ramones to the Sex Pistols to Death. And, though it’s been over two decades since Paul Ngozi’s passing, his voice and vision still seem exciting, powerful, unique, unvarnished, new.) 32.00
PJ HARVEY - I Inside the Old Year Dying LP (partisan - PJ Harvey’s tenth studio album I Inside the Old Year Dying marks her first release in seven years, following UK number 1 album The Hope Six Demolition Project. On this album, which was recorded with long-time creative collaborators John Parish and Flood, PJ Harvey builds a sonic universe somehow located in a space between life’s opposites, and between recent history and the ancient past. Scattered with biblical imagery and references to Shakespeare, all of these distinctions ultimately dissolve into something profoundly uplifting and redemptive. I Inside the Old Year Dying is released on Partisan Records.) 28.00
SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY JAZZ ENSEMBLE - Goes To Africa With Love DLP (now again - First ever commercial releases of New Orleans’ legend Alvin Batiste’s Spiritual Jazz albums created with the college band he instructed and led in Baton Rouge - Goes To Africa With Love and Live at The 1971 American College Jazz Festival Originally given away as souvenirs at Southern University, these albums contains deep Batiste originals and are some of the most sought after albums of Americas 70s jazz underground. Each album contains extensive booklet detailing Batiste’s life and his time spent honing and recording this remarkable band of young students. Goes To Africa With Love was mixed from the original multi-track tapes and is now presented as a 2xLP with never-before-released instrumentals. That one of the great Spiritual Jazz albums of the era could be found in duplicate New Orleans thrift store in the 1980s goes a long way in illustrating the lack of acclaim this special and overlooked album maintained, even in a city where the Batiste name is musical royalty. The Southern University albums Alvin Batiste offered the world were novelies, not worthy of serious consideration, a moment captured, but not necessarily worthy of being collected or preserved by anyone not 10 immediately involved in its creation. That changes now. With the release of the two Southern University albums, Now-Again continues a conversation begun with the late Kashmere Stage Band director Conrad O. Johnson and the issue of his high school students’ music as Texas Thunder Soul, and the continued belief that beautiful music created by youth - even under the most adverse circumstances - can always inspire us.) 42.00
THE PARTICLES - 1980s Bubblegum LP (chapter - The Particles formed at the height of the punk movement in Sydney, Australia in 1977, and spent their early years hanging out with punk legends The Saints. But by their first recordings in 1979 they were something else entirely – pioneers of infectiously melodic, playfully subversive indie pop. They deserve to be held up alongside contemporaries such as Orange Juice or Television Personalities, and 1980s Bubblegum makes a strong case for this with the first overview of their sporadic recording career. Guitarist Peter Williams and vocalist Astrid Spielman were the core of the group, surviving numerous lineups until the band dissolved in the mid 80s. Other bandmates include members of Chapter DIY heroes The Cannanes and fondly-remembered indie pop band The Lighthouse Keepers. The Particles only released three seven inch EPs and a handful of compilation tracks, but their scant recorded work is laden with inventive, irresistible pop hits. After self-releasing two EPs Colour In (1980) and Advanced Colouring (1981), their final EP I Luv Trumpet (1983) was the second ever release on iconic Sydney label Waterfront Records. This makes The Particles unlikely labelmates with the likes of Nirvana, L7 and Henry Rollins, who all went on to release records via Waterfront in Australia in the 90s. On 1980s Bubblegum, Chapter Music presents every known recording by the Particles, including digital bonus tracks from a 1983 live radio session on Sydney station Triple J. The LP features extensive liner notes based on interviews with bandmembers. Astrid Spielman tragically passed away from a brain haemorrhage in 2015, but the sheer joyful magic of her and Peter’s music lives on with 1980s Bubblegum.) 27.00
RUPA - disco jazz LP (numero - Barely disco and hardly jazz, Rupa Biswas’ 1982 LP is the halfway point between Bollywood and Balearic. Tracked in Calgary’s Living Room Studios with a crack team of Indian and Canadian studio rats alike, Disco Jazz is a perfect fusion of East and West. Sarod and synthesizer intricately weaving around one another for 37 transcendent minutes, culminating in the viral hit “Aaj Shanibar.” Remastered from original analogue source material and with he permission and blessing of the producers and performers.)28.00
TONY ALLEN & ADRIAN YOUNG - Jazz Is Dead 18 LP (jazz is dead - The genius that is Tony Allen departed this mortal world in April of 2020, but not without leaving an unmatched legacy that crossed oceans and borders, bridging cultures and forging a sound that changed music. As the drummer for Fela Kuti"s revolutionary Africa 70, Allen"s polyrhythmic drumming defined Afrobeat. His contributions as an artist and cultural ambassador left an indelible impact on every genre of popular music, from Techno to Jazz to Rock and Hip-Hop. Tony Allen"s music stands as an ongoing testament to the interconnected musical relationships and dialogues across the African diaspora, and their lasting influence on how we listen. For Jazz Is Dead producer Adrian Younge, it is no small honor to share new music recorded with the drummer revolutionary Tony Allen.)
TRESQUE - Vai e Vem LP (care of - The heavy pulse of sound systems synchronizes with the precision of musique concrète and the reconstructed memory of a masked folk dance of the Swiss mountains. Techno, drum n bass and dub are echoed within this sonic processional, where samples are pulled apart and recycled, cut at the beginning and end, then linked together. Tresque takes his name from an open-chain circle dance from medieval southern Europe. Under the musical moniker d’Incise he has played on numerous solo and collaborative projects with Cyril Bondi, designing quiet, intensive listening experiences with various combinations of software, recordings from vinyl or in the field, modified objects, percussion and harmonium. As Tresque the delicate minimalism he’s known for takes shape within driving grooves. Airy, spacious, amplified noise from his collection of samples is sliced and tethered to weightier, physical beats. A tension forms between uplift and downfall, hypnotically oscillating between structural textures and collective dance.) 14.00
V/A - Singapore Nuggets - The Ladies LP (During the 60's and early 70's, Singapore had one of most vibrant and interesting music scenes in Asia and even the world, and this compilation presents undeniable proof of it. Focusing exclusively on the female presence on the scene (be it as solo singers, backed by other bands or as band leaders) "Singapore Nuggets. The Ladies", presents such and amazing collection of songs many will be shocked by the sheer genius of this ladies. Ranging from Naive Pop to Fuzzed out Garage (and more!) all within the confines of Pop Yeh Yeh, the fresh, colorful, local sound of 60's Singapore in which western influences, Chinese, Arabic and Indian sounds were mixed by the locals to create a wonderfully idiosyncratic style. LÄRM - #3 BUCH (The third issue of LÄRM presents a collection of essays on nostalgia at the junction of pop culture and individual memory. What is it about the emotional warmth lurking in our recourse to the past? What about the familiar? These and other questions are explored as we delve into the topic of nostalgia by means of song, through a landscape, a picture or a film – subjectively but also critically, in the hope of grasping the shape of this strange familiarity in all its ambivalent nature.
